Bottom Line

The 133-room Comfort Inn

attractions, including Dollywood. Modern, fresh rooms all have basic kitchenettes and balconies, while some rooms have jetted
tubs, fireplaces, and mountain views. The free hot breakfast and the indoor pool with hot tub are major highlights at this property, and guests may also use the Quality Inn’s outdoor pool for free, right next door. Free Wi-Fi and outdoor
parking are provided, but there are no fitness or business centers.
Guests can also consider The Inn on the River, whose outdoor pool overlooks Little Pigeon River, though rooms aren't as contemporary and it's a bit more expensive.

Scene

A welcoming, contemporary chain hotel that draws plenty of families

The Comfort Inn & Suites Dollywood Lane is a two-pearl property that feels fresh and modern. A welcoming atmosphere flows throughout the hotel while the modern, homey lobby is
adorned in earth tones with blue accents and features a stone fireplace with a flat-screen
TV on top. Simple, contemporary blue armchairs and couches surround the fireplace, and the lobby is run through with dark tiled floors and surrounded by large windows that let in lots of natural light. Tan patterned carpets,
mid-tone wood tables, and red patterned chairs fill the contemporary
breakfast room, with a flat-screen TV on the wall and speckled
granite countertops in the serving area. The hotel almost exclusively sees leisure travelers (mostly families), drawn by exceptional style at a great value when compared to neighboring properties.

Location

Dollywood and Pigeon Forge attractions, restaurants, and shops within a short drive or walk

The Comfort Inn &
Suites at Dollywood Lane is on Pigeon Forge's main road, with the Dixie Stampede,
restaurants, and shops all within a five-minute walk (though the parkway is busy and driving may be better). Dollywood takes about 10 minutes to reach by car, while the entrance to the Great Smoky
Mountains National Park is a five-minute drive from the hotel. WonderWorks, the Hollywood Wax Museum, and the Titanic Museum are around ten minutes from the hotel by car while the Tanger
Outlets, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, and the Gatlinburg Space Needle are within a 15-minute drive. The closest airport, McGhee Tyson Airport outside of Knoxville, is about an
hour's drive away, while downtown Knoxville takes just under an hour to reach by car.

Rooms

Contemporary rooms in earth tones with balconies and kitchenettes

The cozy, contemporary rooms here are awash in
earth tones, with attractive tan patterned carpeting, sober tan bedspreads, and green or
red bed runners. Soft green walls are hung with landscape scenes and all rooms are well lit, featuring sleek stand-alone lamps and simple modern wood furniture. All rooms have kitchenette areas with light countertops, microwaves, mini-fridges, and coffeemakers, and rooms also include flat-screen TVs, desks, and balconies with seating (some of which have mountain views). Additionally, higher category bookings likes Suites have fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, and sofa beds.
Contemporary bathrooms are covered in neutral tones, from the dark tiled floors to the
light countertops and large vanities. Double Room bathrooms also include shower/tub combos, and all have Comfort Care Essentials toiletries provided. We spotted a small bit of wear and tear, mostly in bathroom doors that needed a fresh coat of paint, and internal noise can be an issue on occasion.

Features

Delightful indoor pool and hot tub plus free hot breakfast, Wi-Fi, and parking

A beautiful indoor pool is
surrounded by a brown tile deck with wooden lounge chairs and a wall of
windows adding lots of natural light to the space. There’s also a lovely hot tub adorned in blue tile.
Guests are allowed to use the splash pad kids' area, hot tub, and outdoor pool at the Quality Inn next door for free in the summer months. Breakfast here is great and goes way above many two-pearl property offerings, with waffles,
biscuits, gravy, eggs, sausage, fruit, muffins, and yogurt provided for free. There is free Wi-Fi throughout
and free outdoor parking in addition to a 24-hour front desk, however,
there are no fitness or business centers on-site. The hotel has laundry facilities for a fee, and free coffee and newspapers are provided in the lobby.
