Lower-tier rooms have old tube TVs and a fee for Wi-Fi. The on-site spa offers massages and facials in treatment rooms with purple decor. There are a few bars, including one by the pool and one for karaoke. Smile Restaurant serves a la carte international fare, and a separate eatery serves barbecue seafood. The hotel could use some updates, decor-wise and for overall maintenance, and Karon is not the cleanest or most beautiful beach on Phuket. There's a free shuttle to Patong for nightlife and a different beach, and a free buffet breakfast is served daily.

Set across the street from Karon Beach, within walking distance of local restaurants and shops, the Woraburi Resort Spa Phuket is lively despite being outside of the major tourist areas of Phuket. Patong, with nightlife and beaches, is a 10- to 15-minute drive away, or guests can hop on the hotel's free shuttle. Downtown Phuket is about a half-hour drive away, and Phuket International Airport is about a 50 minutes' drive.

Some higher-level accommodations offer free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs (others have tube TVs). Cabana Rooms have direct access to the pool, and suites have separate living room areas. Bathrooms are elegant, with stone and tile in shades of brown, shower/tub combos, and modern sinks.
