The hotel is a quick walk to the beach and Bangla Road, the heart of Patong's nightlife, and has three outdoor pools, several international restaurants, a swim-up bar, a hot tub, a spa, fitness center, meeting rooms, and a business corner. Suites with kitchenettes are also available -- some have terraces with hot tubs. Some guests find the decor in the reasonably priced rooms to be a bit dated and old-fashioned. For something more modern, guests might want to compare the Royal Paradise with the Nap Patong Hotel.

The Royal Paradise Hotel and Spa is in a prime Patong Beach and party location, drawing couples as well as families. At 25 stories, the hotel is said to be the tallest building in Patong and Phuket island. The lobby, renovated in 2014, offers tall windows, Sino-Thai designs, intricate latticework, and blue accent lights. A lovely lounge, with a grand piano, is set with stylish blue chairs.

The hotel is located in the heart of Patong, amid its famous nightlife. Soi Bangla, or Bangla Road, is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Clubs, bars (including a lively gay bar scene), shops, and restaurants crowd the area, and it can get noisy. Within a five-minute walk is the Thailand Divers shop, and the beach and Jungceylon Shopping Mall are within a 12-minute walk. The hotel’s shuttle delivers guests to Patong Beach in about two minutes. Phuket town is about a 30-minute drive, as is Promthep Cape. Count on at least a 40-minute drive to the airport.
