Cape Sienna Hotel & Villas

Visitors are greeted by gorgeous Kamala Beach views from floor-to-ceiling windows that wrap around the modern lobby in the luxurious Cape Sienna Hotel & Villas. The hotel’s adults-preferred policy, prohibiting kids under 12, appeals to couples seeking a romantic beach setting with luxurious conveniences, especially honeymooners or long-time vacationers renting villas. A fire sculpture outside lights up the Cape Sienna logo at the entrance. The tropical landscaping is beautiful and the lobby has a peaceful, sleek interior. Overall the atmosphere is polished and romantic. 

From its hillside location, in an area known as Millionaire’s Mile, the Cape Sienna Hotel & Villas provides panoramic views of Kamala Beach and Phuket’s rocky west coast. The hotel is on a small hill, but is a suitable walking area. Walking to the Kamala town -- with shops, bars, restaurants, and spas -- takes 15 minutes. Patong Beach is a 12-minute ride in the hotel’s shuttle. It’s 11 minutes to the Surin Beach Phuket Surf School. The airport is a 34-minute drive away. Phuket town is a 30-minute car trip. Driving to Wat Chalong Temple takes 31 minutes. The Big Buddha statue takes 43 minutes. 

There are five luxury villas and five room types in this property. Flat-screen TVs, DVD players, minibars, safes, coffee/tea makers, umbrellas, beach bags (in some), insect repellant, bathrobes, and slippers are all standard conveniences. Dark wood furniture, orange or blue upholstered headboards, sofas, and tile or wood floors create a modern and minimalist feeling. Sleek bathrooms offer rainfall showerheads and/or separate bathtubs. Penthouses also have whirlpool tubs. Balconies and terraces have gorgeous sea views and some offer hot tubs and daybeds. Suites and penthouses feature living rooms and kitchenettes. Villas have multiple floors, infinity pools, kitchens, living rooms, and whirlpool tubs. Some also have elevators and butler service. 

It’s all about the views at the on-site restaurants and bars. The Plum restaurant is exceptionally romantic with dark decor, floor-to-ceiling windows, cabanas surrounded by ponds, and terraces with sea views. The open-air poolside bar and restaurant are also stylish. The Vanilla Sky bar and lounge are on the top floor with an ocean view terrace. The Sienna Rock offers cocktails and small meals, overlooking an infinity pool by the sea. There are also three modern conference rooms for up to 100 people. Modern audiovisual equipment is available.

The modern pool and hot tub, partially shaded by palms, overlook the Andaman Sea. Stylish brown cushioned lounge chairs and umbrellas are on the deck, but they do not face Kamala Beach. A sun deck -- with a glass railing and pebble pond at the edge -- offers lounge chairs, umbrellas, and covered terraces, facing the ocean below. There’s another pool on a man-made shore at Sienna Rocks.

Balance spa is modern and treatment rooms feature tall windows. The spa offers a whirlpool tub surrounded by sea views and a solarium with comfy chairs. The stylish gym features wooden floors, modern equipment, numerous flat-screen TVs, weights, towels, and a water cooler. The hotel’s billiard room and rooftop tennis court also offer panoramic views of the ocean.
