Dewa Phuket

With a location on the Nai Yang beach shores and on the Sirinat National Park border, the Cachet Resort Dewa Phuket - Nai Yang Beach is not your typical airport resort. Palm trees hide the entrance of the four-floor resort, which was built in 2007. Green stairs lead to the serene open-air lobby with a tropical backdrop, pitched wooden ceilings, and colorful sofas. Pathways are flanked with palms and bamboo, creating a forest atmosphere on the property. Hand-drawn signs point one way to the beach -- a lovely stretch of sand, bordered by the forest -- and another way to the family terrace, with a pool table (available for a fee), table tennis, giant chessboard, petanque court, and TV lounge. The overall atmosphere is tropical and relaxed.

On the west coast of Phuket, in an area called Nai Yang, is the Cachet Resort Dewa Phuket - Nai Yang Beach. It’s a two-minute walk through the hotel to the beach, where there are lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and cafes. There’s a 7-11 and Phuket Car Rent company three minutes away by car. The Sirinat National Park surrounds the resort. The Phuket Fantasea attraction is a 34-minute drive. It’s a 32-minute drive to Phuket town’s nightlife. The airport is a six-minute car trip. Walking to Kiteboarding Asia Phuket takes nine minutes. Wat Chalong temple is a 36-minute drive. Scenic views are 45 minutes by car at the Phromthep Cape.

The resort offers Junior Suites, Family Suites, and Pool Villas. Air-conditioning, tea/coffee makers, mosquito repellant, flat-screen TVs, DVD players, safes, and irons are in all rooms. Interior design includes comfy furniture, colorful Thai paintings and decor, and white tile or wood floors. Family and Junior Suites have kitchens -- without ovens -- living and dining rooms, bedrooms with flat-screen TVs, and balconies or terraces. Family Suites offer two bathrooms and (in some) rooftop terraces. Modern bathrooms have toilet hoses, showers, and/or bathtubs. Pool Villas are particularly stylish and have private pools with lawns, four-poster beds, living rooms, bathrobes and slippers, minibars, and open-air bathrooms with rainfall showerheads and bathtubs. Some rates include round-trip airport transfers.

Cachet Resort Dewa Phuket - Nai Yang Beach has two lagoon pools. The resort pool features bridges, a shallow section, and brown lounge chairs. The resident’s pool has jets on one side, an outdoor shower, and a kids' pool with elephant fountains. Beach towels and water sports rentals are also available on the terrace (but Phuket regulations prohibit beach lounge chairs). The kids’ club and playground are also available for a charge. The gym has modern equipment and the spa -- featuring naturally lit treatment rooms, a nail station, and a hot tub -- appeal to couples.

The resort offers the Terrace Grill, a casual buffet restaurant with a bar and terrace. The Bamboo bar has a tiki cabana and bar near the beach and tucked in the forest. Orange bean bags are on a lawn. The Bread and Butter cafe is shaded by a yellow striped awning. Grocery delivery service is also available, for a fee. Four meeting spaces are offered. The Sky, the Park, the Lobby, and the Suite rooms can respectively fit a maximum of 30, 50, six, and 10 people. Coffee and water, audiovisual equipment, and secretarial services are also offered.
