Two Seasons Boracay Resort

Noise levels at the Two Seasons Boracay Resort can be an issue. There's a well-trafficked road and several neighboring hotels are packed close together. This is also one of a group of hotels that are popular during "Laboracay," an all-out labor day weekend party. Though it's definitely a party hotel for that occasion, it's a popular choice for families and couples throughout the year. 

Outside the open-air lobby, a long Koi pond fits in well with the blend of urban minimalism and tropical decor found throughout the hotel. At the center of the hotel is a courtyard with a wading pool, spanned by a bridge with a steep arch. Beyond it, the main common area is the open-air restaurant, with a covered terrace that opens to the blindingly white sand beach. 

The hotel is located on the northern end of White Beach, right between Boracay Highway Central, and the island's most impressive stretch of sand. It's easily accessible from both the main road and the beach in an area that's close to the action in Stations 1 and 2, but removed enough to have a relatively quiet atmosphere. Attractions such as Willy’s Rock and the Holy Rosary Parish are within easy walking distance. There are a few neighboring restaurants and bars, with many more just a short 10-minute walk along the beach to the heart of the action in Station 1. Station 2 is a bit farther away, closer to 20 minutes on foot. Guests can also stroll to Diniwid Beach, a smaller but also more secluded stretch of sand north of the hotel.  

The hotel's 34 rooms and suites have high ceilings. Contemporary tropical-style decor is done in earth tones and dark wood furnishings for an almost minimalist look. All rooms have furnished balconies or patios, but most lack sea views. Rooms have either one queen or king bed, or two twin beds, along with desks and chairs. There are no sitting areas other than the furnished balconies. Family Rooms add second bedrooms and suites have living rooms with sofa beds. Free Wi-Fi comes standard, along with iPod docks, mini-fridges, and electric kettles. Some rooms have unreasonably small 24-inch flat-screen TVs, with a mix of larger 32-inch or 40-inch TVs in upgraded rooms. 

Wide bathrooms feature large walk-in rainfall showers, and some have adjoining outdoor zen rock garden nooks that can pull double duty as smoking areas or spots to air out wet swimsuits on wall-mounted racks. There's also a Heaven Suite that has a large private veranda and infinity pool that overlooks the beach. Some rooms open directly to the wading pool, and also have floor-to-ceiling windows at eye level with the water. These rooms are convenient for the pool, but not very private. 

The hotel's prime spot off White Beach provides plenty of space for all guests on its comfortable loungers, paired with large white shade umbrellas. Right behind the loungers at the edge of the sand, barLO Resto Lounge has open-air seating under a handsome wood-beamed ceiling. The restaurant serves international, Asian, and local Filipino dishes like oyster sisig, along with a four-cheese pizza that's popular with locals. Free breakfast buffet includes an omelet station and rotating selection of items. There's no spa or fitness center, only a central wading pool that tends to be dominated by the rooms which open to it. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
