However, there is a fee for in-room Wi-Fi and only one device can be connected at any given time. Scene
A four-pearl hotel with lovely pools and a relaxed atmosphere
Accessed through a narrow, unappealing street lined with run-down buildings, the upscale Hennan Garden Resort does not make a great first impression. Past the entrance doors, however, the atmosphere becomes relaxed and friendly, and the airy lobby feels fresh and inviting. White walls, floors, and pillars add light, while open windows and ceiling fans keep the heat at bay. Several clusters of chairs and couches offer seating, which is convenient for those who want to take advantage of the free Wi-Fi offered in the lobby (there's a fee to connect in the rooms). Outside, grounds are pleasant and cute, with stone paths lined with bamboo, and palm trees offering some shade. Two of the main buildings -- each with a different architectural style -- have long pools running parallel to the facades, and ground-floor rooms have direct access to them.
Although the hotel is a little set back from the beach, it does have a private path that offers access to the sand, where there are a couple dozen padded loungers and umbrellas, as well as security guards and a beach attendant. This property is a popular pick for families and groups of friends looking for a great pool and a relaxed vibe.
Location
A short walk from the main nightlife and dining areas in Station 2
The Henann Garden Resort is located on a narrow street off the main road running the length of the island. Although it is not right on the beach, the hotel has a private path offering access to the sand, and there are dozens of restaurants and bars within a short walk of the hotel. This central location allows for easy access to Stations 1 and 3, as well as to transportation to Caticlan and Kalibo airports. D’ Mall and D’ Talipapa shopping areas are also within easy walking distance.
Rooms
Spacious, contemporary rooms with modern amenities; most have balconies
The hotel has 273 rooms ranging from Deluxe Rooms with no balconies to Executive Suites with spacious terraces and deep soaking tubs. All rooms have at least a small seating area with a couch and a coffee table, and either a king bed or a queen and a twin. Decor is contemporary in all units, with clean lines and a brown and white palette. Premier Rooms and Grand Rooms were renovated in 2014 and are the most stylish of all, with smoky gray laminate floors or white tiles, large padded headboards, and a subdued gray and white color scheme. Air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, free bottled water, safes, and electric kettles are standard amenities, but there is a fee for Wi-Fi, and only one device can be connected at a time. Bathrooms are clean and spacious, and all but Deluxe Rooms and a few Premier Rooms have separate showers and tubs. Additionally, some Premier Rooms and Grand Rooms have direct access to the pool as well as terraces with two chairs and a table. Most have furnished balconies, but a few are unfurnished.
Features
Four pools, a buffet restaurant, a spa, a fitness center, and Wi-Fi for a fee
Surrounded by lush greenery and loungers, the four large pools here are the highlight of this hotel. Two of them are directly outside Premier Rooms and Grand Pool Access Rooms, and are separated from each other by a small island with loungers and cabanas. The other two are freeform pools with bridges, and one has a popular swim-up bar with cocktails and fresh fruit juices, and a few tables on the deck. Main meals are offered at Garden Cafe, which has a varied buffet spread with international and Asian food stations. Kai Regency Spa has a number of treatment rooms, as well as a sauna, a steam bath, and a whirlpool. The fitness center features a decent array of cardio and strength-training machines in a bright room with pleasant views of the grounds. The hotel also has meeting rooms and full business services such as printing and copying, but free Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby.
