Ripa Relais is nestled on the slopes of Ripa's ancient castle, next to highway SS318, making for easy access to Umbria's surrounding hill towns. Perugia with its attractions, such as the Perugina Chocolate Factory, the National Gallery of Umbria, University of Perugia, and Piazza IV Novembre, is nine miles -- a 20-minute drive -- west of the resort, while Assisi and the Cathedral of St. Francis are nine miles southeast. For those arriving from Perugia San Francesco d'Assisi–Umbria International Airport, the resort is three miles -- about a 10-minute' drive -- north.
