The Hyatt Regency Perth is a behemoth of a city center hotel. From the curb, it welcomes guests with a long, grandiose canopy leading to the main entrance that gives way to a striking, white atrium. The Conservatory Lounge is in the center, marked by a towering and impressive fountain. All floors of the hotel overlook this central space, where travelers are often found milling about. In the evening, the corridors are bathed in amber lighting, and the atrium ceiling is brightened, making its geometric pattern stand out against the night sky. The common areas are modern but not especially bold or stylish. The breakfast room, however, is brought to life with a picturesque view of the palm tree-lined Swan River. Windows in the area take up nearly the full height of the wall, flooding the area with natural light.

The hotel has a prime location overlooking Swan River, and is a six-minute walk to the Foreshore River Reserve and Langley Park.
