Scene
Centrally located hotel caters to solo travelers and groups of friends
The Centara Pattaya Hotel attracts primarily groups of friends and solo travelers that come here for the combined advantages of the central location, affordable rates, and guest-friendly policies, which translates to free overnight stays for guests, often young Thai girls. Despite this leniency, which not all hotels permit, families do vacation here -- though there's little to keep kids entertained. Many guests also comment that the friendly manager is often seen chatting around the pool. Overall, the atmosphere is casual and laid-back. The hotel itself is composed of two mid-rise white buildings with modern glass-railed balconies. The design throughout is modern and minimalist, featuring lots of wood, beige tiling, and neutral-tone linens, plus some fun pops of lime-green and blue.
