The 247 is a relatively small and simple property that has a pleasantly modern veneer, though it falls short of its own boutique claims. That's not to say anything is wrong, just that it doesn't quite have the flair of a true boutique property -- or the intimacy. The lobby is bright and makes a fine first impression, decorated with wood-paneled walls, polished marble floors, colorful modern seating areas, and a blooming floral displays adding a sense of freshness. There's no restaurant or bar on-site, so it lacks a communal space for socializing. However, a lovely rooftop area features a saltwater pool and daybeds for tanning. It's a great spot to cool off and take a break during the day, with city views that are best enjoyed at sunset. Due to the hotel's close proximity to the red-light district and lively nightlife area, it mostly attracts singles, bachelors, and travelers seeking parties. The majority are from Europe, Australia, and China. Families are welcome, but are not exactly the target demographic here.

The hotel's location is great for those seeking nightlife, as it's only a few minutes walk from Pattaya's lively bars and clubs. Situated on a busy road lined with hotels and massage spots, it's just a few minutes on foot from the Walking Street red-light district and a 10-minute walk from the main beach. The Central Festival Pattaya shopping mall is a five-minute walk from the hotel, while Underwater World Pattaya waterpark is a 15-minute taxi ride away. Iconic Sanctuary of Truth is a 30-minute drive from the hotel, while Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden is 40 minutes away by car. Budget 15 minutes to reach Bali Hai Pier by car, while Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok is about 90 minutes away by car (though weekend traffic can swell that figure exponentially). Superior Rooms are a little on the small side, though all are decorated with polished marble floors, natural color schemes, patterned throw pillows and bed runners, and velvet-finish sofas. Big windows keep rooms bright, making them feel a little larger, though most offer only dull views of the street below. However, Suites add furnished balconies as well as extra living spaces, modern kitchenettes, and PCs. Standard in-room amenities include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, minibars, electric kettles, safes, phones, and free Wi-Fi. Small bathrooms are modern and well-finished, equipped with spacious rainfall showers that have a glass panel through to the bedroom. There are blinds for added privacy, and bathrobes are provided. All bathrooms come with hairdryers and free toiletries. Keep in mind that this isn't exactly the place for a good night's sleep, as there is plenty of nightlife all around -- expect some noise at night.
