Pros
- A heated outdoor pool, and a rooftop Jacuzzi
- Mini-fridges, microwaves, toasters, coffeemakers and washer/dryer
- Upgrade to a suite for a full kitchen
- Free Wi-Fi
- Free parking
- Secure ski storage
Cons
- Pool is relatively small in comparison to others in the area
- No on-site restaurant (but several are within walking distance)
- Outdoor Jacuzzi and pool are in separate areas
Bottom Line
A nice choice for families, the Sundial Lodge features rooms and one- to two-bedroom suites with mini-fridges, microwaves, and toasters. Though the somewhat drab lodgelike decor can't compare to that in the more ultra-luxe sister Canyons' hotels, like the Waldorf Astoria, the rooms are large yet cozy, with warm colors and wooden accents (and many rooms have fireplaces). A small heated pool, a rooftop Jacuzzi and a basic fitness center are popular amenities, but those looking for a ski-in/ski-out location may consider the comparable Grand Summit.

Location
A short walk from Red Pine Gondola at The Canyons, the largest ski area in Park City
The largest ski area in Park City and the fifth largest in the U.S., The Canyons is the more laid-back, family-friendly option in Park City. The focus here isn't on partying or fine dining (though it has a bit of each) -- here, it's all about the slopes, and there's one for every level of skier. Keep in mind, some of the beginner slopes offer the most beautiful views.
- 43-minute drive to Salt Lake City International Airport
- 3-minute walk to the Red Pine Gondola
- 8-minute drive to the Park City Golf Course
- 10-minute drive to Park City's Historic Main Street
- 11-minute drive to Park City Historical Society
- 11-minute drive to Kimball Art Center
