Scene

Cozy and warm feeling akin to a mountain lodge, with high ceilings and exposed beams

Although it looks like every other Hampton Inn from the outside, with a combination of beige stucco and red-brick, this chain hotel’s lobby has a refreshing, mountain lodge aesthetic. The white vaulted ceiling has exposed wooden
beams, and the large brick fireplace at the center of the room lends a cozy feeling. There are also colorful touches, like small red rugs, and chairs and comfy couches in shades of red, orange, and green -- all balanced by earthy browns and beiges, gray stone floors, and woodsy plaid curtains. There is plenty of space to sit and relax, with coffee and tea available
all day, along with bowls of fresh apples and oranges on a large table near the fireplace. The high and low tables surrounding the fireplace serve as the breakfast dining area, and there are a few tables in the next room where the buffet
items are laid out. The indoor pool is large, though not Olympic-size, and is
surrounded by windows and the same high ceiling with wooden beams as in the lobby. Guests include families, groups, and business travelers, including longer-term guests drawn to the property's convenient location and comforting extras -- like breakfast to-go and afternoon cookies.

Location

Just off I-80, within 15 minutes of ski resorts, and next to outlet stores

This hotel sits just off Interstate
80, and is surrounded by open space and some other businesses. Ruby Tuesday is about a minute walk south, while Tanger Outlet Center Park City, with many big-name factory stores, is a five-minute walk in the opposite direction. A free shuttle stops outside of the hotel for easy access to ski resorts; Canyons, Park City, and Deer Valley ski resorts are within a 10- to 15-minute drive. The shops and restaurants of Main Street are about 15 minutes by car. Salt Lake City Airport can be
reached by car in about 30 minutes.

Rooms

Comfortable with standard chain decor; suites equipped with small kitchens

There is nothing distinguishing these rooms from any other Hampton Inn, though they are spacious and modern. All have high-quality, large beds, and homey decor in autumnal browns and golds, with dark wood furniture. Each has an armchair and desk, a flat-screen TV, a small coffeemaker, ironing facilities, and free Wi-Fi. Suites are well-equipped for longer-term stays or groups, with separate living rooms and kitchenettes equipped with full-size refrigerators, two-burner stovetops, microwaves, and dishwashers. Bathrooms are attractive and clean, with brown tile floors, dark granite countertops, and shower/tub combos; suites have separate soaking tubs and stall showers. Some west-facing rooms on upper floors have great views of the mountains.

Features

Free breakfast and Wi-Fi, indoor pool and hot tub, convenience store, and gym

There is no restaurant or bar, but the free buffet breakfast (or bag breakfast to-go) offers lots of hot and cold
options, including a waffle-making station. The hotel has a large indoor pool,
hot tub, and small fitness room with modern cardio equipment and free weights. A free
shuttle stops regularly outside of the hotel with access to the ski resorts and
Main Street. The hotel offers a guest computer and printer, meeting room for up to 40 guests, and a coin-operated washer/dryer. There's also a convenience store selling
snacks and necessities. Outdoor parking and Wi-Fi access in rooms and throughout the hotel are free.
