Bottom Line
The Loft is a budget-friendly boutique hostel in the 19th Arrondissement with 29 private and shared rooms that can accommodate up to eight people. Rooms are bright and clean and have more style than the average hostel. They are simple, however, with just bunk beds, lockers, free Wi-Fi, and en-suite bathrooms. Towels are not included and there's no air-conditioning. The hostel has a lobby bar and a communal kitchen that doubles as a breakfast area and hangout spot. This Right Bank location is a bit far from Paris' main tourists attractions, but guests can get to the metro in about five minutes, and the heart of Paris in another 20 or so. The Generator Paris is a comparable property with larger common areas including a terrace, rooftop bar, and games lounge.

Bright, budget hostel with small bar and communal kitchen
The Loft is situated in a basic, cream-colored three-story building with a flat facade accented in flags. Inside, the decor is lively and modern with wood floors, white walls, and exposed-brick and French-flag-themed accents. Flyers advertising tours and events, happy hour announcements, and even a guitar hang on the walls. A mosaic-tiled reception desk lit by industrial-style overhead spotlights doubles as a bar. Steps down the hall, the communal kitchen acts as a breakfast room and cafe-style hangout spot, with guests on their computers sitting at round white tables or watching TV. Though small, this is the hostel's main social zone, where guests meet each other and engage in hostel-organized events, such as karaoke. With a lightly social atmosphere and clean digs, this is a popular choice for young budget travelers.
Location

Rooms
Bright, simple private rooms and shared dorms with en-suite bathrooms -- but no AC
The hostel's 29 shared and private rooms offer accommodations for two to eight people, each with an en-suite bathroom. Most dorms are mixed gender, but one dorm is available for women only. Rooms are simple but modern and clean with nice wood floors and bright walls in lime green, red, or orange. Toile or 60s-inspired wallpaper accents and plastic chairs in a webbed pattern add a funky vibe. Silver bunks come with bedding, and dorms have lockers. Each room includes a modern, private bathroom in gray and white tile with wood floors. Bathrooms can be quite small, each with a toilet, sink, and wet-room style shower. They include towel warmers and hairdryers, but guests must rent towels or bring their own. Wi-Fi is free, and rooms are cleaned daily, but there is no air-conditioning. Private Double and Twin rooms have LCD TVs with satellite channels and some rooms have private balconies. Music from the main floor can be heard during the day, but it's turned off at night.
Features
Courtyard, lobby bar, free light breakfast, small kitchen, and free Wi-Fi
The hostel has a somewhat social atmosphere with a small outdoor courtyard, where yellow and black cafe tables and chairs are set up. There's a 24-hour front desk with helpful staff, and this also serves as the lobby bar serving drinks. Breakfast is free but simple with croissants, cereal, and coffee. The breakfast room also holds the communal kitchen, which is open past midnight and has tables where guests can hang out and watch TV. The lobby also offers two computers for guest use and the whole building has free Wi-Fi. Secure luggage storage is also available. Children and pets are not allowed and guests can stay no more than seven days. Guests cannot bring alcohol in from the outside, though it's available for sale at the bar.
