Bottom Line

The luxury Park Hyatt Paris - Vendome is a property so regal some could argue it's a bit chilly. Features include eight meeting rooms, a 24-hour business center, and free Wi-Fi along with four restaurants, a bar, a fitness center, and a full-service spa. Scene

High-end hotel with an elegant yet austere style that caters to business travelers

Popular with business travelers and vacationing couples, the Park Hyatt Paris - Vendome is in a lovely Haussmannian building with wrought-iron terraces in intricate
latticework covered in green ivy. The small, sleek lobby has cream-colored tiled floors, Doric columns, and a minimalist ivory-hued desk. However, the space is sparse and decor is limited to a single bench, a large circular rug in a sunflower pattern, and a Rodin-style sculpture of two figures running. The latter is a theme that's seen throughout the hotel as these figures adorn various parts of the hotel and act as bases to light fixtures. This stark elegance and minimal furnishings is quite stately, but it can feel cold and uninviting, and the lobby certainly doesn't invite lingering.

Location

Located on the Rue de la Paix and within walking distance to many attractions

Park Hyatt Paris - Vendome is well situated for exploring Paris on foot or by public transportation. The hotel is located on Rue de la Paix, a famous upscale shopping avenue, and a short walk from Place Vendome, the famed city square. The Opera Metro
station takes four minutes to reach on foot, while the Louvre Museum is a 13-minute walk away. It takes 14 minutes on
foot to reach one end of the Champs-Elysees, and it's a 29-minute metro ride to the Eiffel Tower. Charles de Gaulle Airport is a minimum 30-minute drive
away.

Rooms

Stately, spacious rooms, luxurious bathrooms, and balconies in some

The elegant rooms at the Park Hyatt Paris - Vendome
are spacious, especially by Paris standards, with white linens, velour
pillows in varying shades of brown, tan carpeting, wood paneled walls, and
Rodin-inspired figurines. It’s a design that’s grandiose, though there's nothing trendy about the look, and some guests find it old fashioned. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, Blue-ray DVD players, free Wi-Fi, coffeemakers, and air-conditioning, and some have minibars and/or balconies. Suites have separate living rooms, while the Imperial Suite and the Presidential Suite
also have PC computers, microwaves, sinks, and in-room massage tables. The limestone bathrooms are more luxurious than the rooms, with deep tubs, rainfall showers, golden fixtures, and heated floors. Note that there’s only two guests allowed per Standard Room and three guests in Deluxe Rooms and Suites. The hotel provides housekeeping service twice a day.

Features

Multiple restaurant including a Michelin-starred option, plus a spa, fitness center, and meeting spaces

Given its status as a luxury hotel in central Paris, this property delivers the expected top-shelf features. Guests at the Hyatt can begin their day with breakfast in Sens, the hotel’s restaurant, which serves breakfast and lunch in a glass conservatory. Lunch can also be taken at La Terrasse, an outdoor patio restaurant in the hotel’s attractive garden. There’s also La Cheminee which serves light appetizers and an afternoon tea service, plus Le Bar, a full-service bar that serves drinks late into the evening. The Michelin-starred Pur’ is the hotel’s dinner restaurant and provides an exclusive Chef’s Table option. 24-hour room service is available. The hotel’s grand spa offers massages, beauty treatments, salon services, a sauna, and a hot tub. The 24-hour fitness center is windowless but well-lit and has five cardio machines, a weight machine, and free weights. Business travelers can make use of a 24-hour business center with computers, a printer, and copier, and eight meeting rooms that can hold up to 300 guests, though audio-visual equipment comes at an additional cost. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
