Hotel Pulitzer Paris

The Hotel Pulitzer is a unique, memorable, and atmospheric boutique hotel, with lots of charm. Simultaneously cosmopolitan and cozy, the Pulitzer’s quirky decor features vintage photographs on the walls, tufted leather chairs, red velvet drapes, and rich kilim carpets that add to the hotel’s handsome, warm atmosphere. The lobby features a working fireplace and a large vintage Paris Metro map on the wall adds a timeless feeling. Guests with work to do can take advantage of the library area, which is lined with old books (although they are tied together with twine, and are sadly for decoration only). Breakfast is served downstairs in a passageway-turned-dining area with shabby chic consoles and bureaus turned into buffets. 

The Hotel Pulitzer is conveniently located for tourists and business travelers, in Paris’s 9th arrondissement, a 20-minute walk from the Louvre and it takes about the same amount of time to walk up to Montmartre. The hotel sits on the rue de Fauborg Montmartre, which is lined with restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops, and is just two minutes from the famed Folies Bergere nightclub. The Galeries Lafayette flagship store and many major corporate offices are nearby. Grands Boulevards and Le Peletier metro stops are both within a two-minute walk of the lobby. Both Charles de Gaule Airport and the Orly Airport take just over half an hour to reach by car.

Rooms at the Hotel Pulitzer are small but stylish, designed in a palette of grays, blacks, and whites, with touches of color. The design incorporates 1950s-era industrial iron, as well as oak and marble, to create a strong but elegant atmosphere. Furniture is quirky and attractive, but the freestanding closets are small. Beds are large and comfy, with eiderdown comforters and Egyptian cotton sheets. Amenities include safes, flat-screen TVs with cable, minibars, and free toiletries, but Standard Rooms lack coffeemakers. Bathrooms are done in chrome, gray marble, and black ceramic tile with modern sinks and rainfall showers. Some bathrooms also have tubs. 

The Hotel Pulitzer offers a daily buffet breakfast, with eggs and pastries that's served in a cool subterranean breakfast room that has a vintage, old Paris feel to it. Guests can also take breakfast in their rooms on request. At happy hour, guests are treated to a free glass of red or white wine in the stylish Cocktail Bar, which also serves interesting signature cocktails by a roaring fireplace. There are also two types of lemonade on tap in the lobby throughout the day. Cars and bicycles rentals can be arranged on-site. There's also a beautifully decorated library where guests can work on their laptops using the hotel's free Wi-FI.
