Situated next to Chanel's flagship store, which was once home to the iconic designer herself,
Castille Paris is an elegant luxury hotel that drips with chic Parisian style. Its 108 rooms and suites are beautifully designed with decor that varies from contemporary to classic French style, though some of the units are quite small. There’s an Italian restaurant on-site with a beautiful outdoor courtyard, as well as a tea parlor and bar serving light meals and drinks. Guests might want to skip the breakfast since it’s pricey and gets lackluster reviews. The hotel also has a stylish business area and small fitness room, but no spa. Travelers might want to compare rates with the Champs Elysees Plaza Hotel, a similar luxury property that offers a tasty breakfast.
Scene
Luxury hotel with elegant, classically styled interiors and a lovely outdoor courtyard with fountain and frescoed wall
The luxury Castille Paris hotel is housed in an
attractive 18th-century building with vines hanging from Juliet balconies
on its cream-colored facade. Beautiful interiors feature coffered ceilings and wooden floors or chic black-and-white tiles. The lobby has a
romantic French feel with heavy, floor-length drapes, fresh flower
arrangements, antique pieces, and velvety couches in neutral hues that pair well with turquoise accent walls. Pitchers of fruit-infused water are a
thoughtful touch and there's a friendly resident cat that strikes a regal pose amid the stylish interiors. The hotel's L'Assaggio restaurant is similarly furnished with neutral hues, antique-style pieces, and damask wallpaper, with large windows that overlook the charming interior courtyard with its Roman fountain against a soaring
frescoed wall. The adjoining bar features gilt-framed oil paintings on the walls and plush seating.
Location
Prime location next to Chanel flagship and close to several sights
The hotel is located on a small, charming street right next to the legendary Chanel flagship store where Coco Chanel once lived. This prime location (one of the priciest in Paris) is right off of Rue Saint Honore, one of the most luxurious
streets in the city and home to fashion giants like Dior and Hermes. The hotel is two blocks from the Tuileries Gardens and Place de la Concorde, and within walking distance of several top attractions, including the Louvre Museum (15 minutes away) and the Champs-Élysées (10 minutes). There are three metro stations nearby that are about a seven-minute walk away and give easy access to many other sights, such as the Notre Dame Cathedral (20 minutes away), Eiffel Tower (30 minutes), and the Arc de Triomphe (17 minutes).
Rooms
Beautiful rooms and suites in a variety of styles
These chic rooms and suites vary in decor, which includes several different styles ranging from a classic Parisian feel with sleek desks,
decorative pillows, and striped curtains, to a contemporary style with a red-and-black
color scheme, as well as rooms inspired by the legendary Coco Chanel who used to live next door. Though some of the rooms are a bit small, all have large, comfortable beds and a host of modern comforts including flat-screen TVs with satellite channels (only free in suites), minibars, free Wi-Fi, and tea/coffee facilities that are available upon request. Chic, tiled bathrooms have shower/tub combos, heated towel racks, high-end toiletries, and fluffy robes. There are a variety of spacious suites available (including duplexes), which offer separate living rooms, as well as a two-bedroom apartment. Travelers should note that some of the streetside rooms might get noise.
