Parga Beach Resort

Parga Beach Resort is a beautiful hotel with gorgeous grounds and a laid-back, peaceful atmosphere. Pathways drip with flora, and colorful little buildings are constructed between the 350-year-old grove of olive trees. Guests are welcome to pick from the herb, fruit, and vegetable plants growing in beds around the property. It is an attractive, peaceful setting. Indoor spaces are light and airy, emitting an elegant atmosphere. The lobby combines styles beautifully with pairings like beautiful candelabras next to funky colored lighting fixtures, and antique lounge chairs sharing space with ultra-white modern sofas. All types of leisure travelers are drawn here for the gorgeous surroundings and relaxing vibe, and families appreciate the facilities for kids. 

This hotel is on Valtos Beach in Parga, a popular vacation spot on Greece’s western shore. It is on a narrow road that winds through the countryside and past the beach on its way to the main city of Parga, a five-minute drive away. There’s little nearby beyond residences and hotels, but the beach attracts large numbers of tourists, so the area is busy. There is a mini-mart across the street, and a few restaurants can be reached within a five-minute walk. At the end of the beach, there is a walking path along the coast and into the city; a 15-minute stroll will bring guests to the town’s marina, a charming area with shops and restaurants to explore. 

The ruins of the castle of Parga sit on the end of a peninsula reaching into the bay atop a hill. It offers beautiful views of the town and ocean, but there’s no parking and it’s a 20-minute walk from the hotel. Alternatively, guests can take the water taxi from Valtos Beach to reach the town and skip the walk. Port Igoumenitsa is a 45-minute drive from the hotel, offering ferries to various points on the Ionian Sea. Aktion International Airport is a 65-minute drive away, and it is a 90-minute drive to Ioannina National Airport with connecting flights to Athens. 

Spacious rooms are contemporary and sophisticated, done in shades of ivory and beige. Tile floors and creamy walls are a base for lovely touches like tufted headboards, beautiful wood writing desks, and pretty pillows on the divans. King- or full-size Coco-Mat mattresses, quality linens, and pillow menus help to ensure a good night’s sleep. Every room has a terrace or balcony with a view of the beautiful gardens, but the flat property does limit sea views from many rooms. Also on the downside, rooms close to the beach and restaurant get noise and music at night, especially during large parties or weddings. Standard amenities include 32-inch flat-screen TVs, minibars, and free safes, but no coffeemakers. In suites, the living areas are separated from the bedrooms, and there are extra flat-screen TVs and kettles with free coffee and tea. Sleek bathrooms include deep tubs with mounted showerheads, as well as scales, hairdryers, robes, and slippers. Free Korres natural toiletries include soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. 

Parga Beach Resort offers a good range of amenities for a relaxing vacation on the beach. The resort has three small pools, each surrounded by sunbeds. The main pool is near the beach and has a beautiful sea view, plus there are a quieter pool in the gardens and a third with a heated wading pool for kids. The beach is a gorgeous sandy strip, with ample loungers available for a fee. Beach service is available from the beachfront restaurant and bar, so meals and drinks can be delivered directly to loungers. The restaurant serves three tasty meals daily, which consists primarily of Mediterranean dishes and fresh seafood. Breakfast is free, served buffet-style at the restaurant. Half- and full-board options are available, but there is no true all-inclusive package here. 

A variety of massages and wellness services are available at the relaxing spa, including hand and foot massages, beauty treatments, and exercise classes. A tiny fitness room offers a few cardio machines. Kids can make use of a fun playground and an indoor playroom where discos and movies are on offer in the evenings. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
