Best Western Plus at Lake Powell

This mid-range hotel from the Best Western chain is a solid option that makes for a good base in Page. Despite its name, the property isn't situated right by the lake, nor does it offer any views of Lake Powell from its location right off the city's main road. The cream-colored building is fronted by a porte-cochere, while inside, spaces are clean and contemporary -- though decor is bland and chainlike. White walls and tile floors in the lobby are paired with a color palette of brown and beige hues, while a living room-like seating area offers sofas and armchairs to sink into, plus there's a flat-screen TV. The breakfast room features the same simple style, with neutral hues and an array of booth and table seating, and it spills out onto a small outdoor area. Guests tend to be leisure travelers passing through on longer road trips or in Page for exploring area attractions.

The hotel is located right off the city's main street, N Lake Powell Boulevard. There are a couple of other hotels nearby, as well as some dining options within walking distance. Lake Powell and the Glen Canyon Dam are about a five-minute drive from the property. Lake Powell Navajo Tribal Park is a 15-minute drive. Other area attractions include Horseshoe Bend (eight minutes away) and Antelope Canyon (16-minute drive). Grand Canyon National Park is a bit under a two-hour drive from here. Page's airport is a five-minute drive from the hotel.

Room decor, like the rest of the property, is typically chainlike, but the spaces are large and pleasant, warmed by earthy hues that reflect subtle southwestern inspirations. Burnt sienna accent walls are paired with tan walls and gray wood floors, while wooden furniture includes desks, TV units, and headboards framing white bedding topped with gray runners and pillows. All rooms have tables and chairs, as well as seating -- armchairs, sofas, or both. Suites have large living areas with sofas and wet bars.
