Bottom Line

This mid-range Best Western is situated off the main road in Page, a five-minute drive to Lake Powell and within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Its 130 guest rooms are spacious and come equipped with flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and Keurig machines, while suites add large living areas and wet bars or kitchenettes. A handful of features add value to a stay here, including an outdoor pool and a hot breakfast buffet that's included in rates -- but the dining space gets crowded. A fitness room, business center, and guest laundry facilities are also on-site; guests should note that Wi-Fi is spotty and slow. For something with more features and great views of the lake, check out the three-pear Lake Powell Resort -- though it doesn't have in-room Wi-Fi.

Scene

Mid-range Best Western with typical chain interiors

This mid-range hotel from the Best Western chain is a solid option that makes for a good base in Page. Despite its name, the property isn't situated right by the lake, nor does it offer any views of Lake Powell from its location right off the city's main road. The cream-colored building is fronted by a porte-cochere, while inside, spaces are clean and contemporary -- though decor is bland and chainlike. White walls and tile floors in the lobby are paired with a color palette of brown and beige hues, while a living room-like seating area offers sofas and armchairs to sink into, plus there's a flat-screen TV. The breakfast room features the same simple style, with neutral hues and an array of booth and table seating, and it spills out onto a small outdoor area. Guests tend to be leisure travelers passing through on longer road trips or in Page for exploring area attractions.

Location

Off Page's main street, five-minute drive to Lake Powell

The hotel is located right off the city's main street, N Lake Powell Boulevard. There are a couple of other hotels nearby, as well as some dining options within walking distance. Lake Powell and the Glen Canyon Dam are about a five-minute drive from the property. Lake Powell Navajo Tribal Park is a 15-minute drive. Other area attractions include Horseshoe Bend (eight minutes away) and Antelope Canyon (16-minute drive). Grand Canyon National Park is a bit under a two-hour drive from here. Page's airport is a five-minute drive from the hotel.

Rooms

Spacious rooms have flat-screen TVs, Keurig coffeemakers, and mini-fridges

Room decor, like the rest of the property, is typically chainlike, but the spaces are large and pleasant, warmed by earthy hues that reflect subtle southwestern inspirations. Burnt sienna accent walls are paired with tan walls and gray wood floors, while wooden furniture includes desks, TV units, and headboards framing white bedding topped with gray runners and pillows. All rooms have tables and chairs, as well as seating -- armchairs, sofas, or both. Suites have large living areas with sofas and wet bars. Some units have kitchenettes with stoves, ovens, full fridges, dishwashers, and cookingware/dishware.All rooms feature flat-screen TVs, Keurig coffeemakers, mini-fridges, air-conditioning, irons/ironing boards, and free Wi-Fi -- but it's slow and spotty. All but entry-level Standard Rooms also have microwaves. Bathrooms are fairly small and equipped with shower/tub combos. Hairdryers and toiletries are provided.

Features

Outdoor pool and hot tub, free breakfast, and fitness room

One of the highlights here is the seasonal outdoor pool, which is surrounded by a number of loungers, chairs and tables, and daybed cabanas. There's also a hot tub. Other features include a fitness room that's equipped with a handful of cardio and strength-training machines as well as free weights and medicine balls. Breakfast is included in rates and served in a pleasant dining room that has an outdoor area. It includes hot items like eggs, meats, oatmeal, and pancakes, as well as breads, pastries, cereals, fruits, juices, and tea and coffee. Note that many guests complain that breakfast can get crowded and necessitates waiting.A business center in the lobby offers two computers and a printer, plus there's free Wi-Fi throughout the property, but many guests complain that it's slow and spotty. There are guest laundry facilities on-site. Parking is free in the hotel's lot.
