Scene
Smart chain hotel with simple style
The Daiwa Roynet Hotel Osaka Uehonmachi has a stylish and bright lobby with modern modular seating in shades of plum and brown. There's a table of tourist information leaflets, a flat screen TV, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the street outside. The high-shine white floor tiles lead to the underlit reception desk which has a dark wooden surround. There’s a computer station and a bank of self-serve check out machines in the lobby too. It is kept spotlessly clean throughout, and has a smart and professional vibe. The hotel attracts both Japanese and international travelers, most of whom are tourists. While the chain is popular with business guests in general, this location isn't exactly swarmed with corporate travelers.
Location
Near a shopping mall, train station, and plenty of restaurants
Situated a bit outside of the loud core of Osaka, this hotel's quiet neighborhood is a major plus for many of the guests who choose to stay here over more central properties. The hotel is close to good public transport links for getting around Osaka and beyond. It's only a minute's walk to Osaka-Uehonmachi Train Station, and a five-minute walk to Tanimachi Kyuchome Subway Station. The popular Namba District is around 15-minutes away by train. There are plenty of restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, from Japanese and Chinese options to Italian and other international cuisines. There is also a shopping mall, Uehonmachi YUFURA, just a three-minute walk away, which has a range of stores including well-known designers such as Chanel and Christian Dior. The hotel is also within a 15-minute walk of Osaka Shinkabukiza Theater and Shitennoji Temple. Osaka-Itami International Airport is an hour away by public transport or around 20-minutes by car.
