This hotel is saturated in all of the Disney and family-friendly themed fun that Orlando is known for. The exterior is a touch dated, but the lobby is modern and sleek with soaring ceilings, elegant white drapes, and a fanciful dangling mobile. There is a lot of modern seating, a lobby lounge bar, a fireplace, flat-screen TV, and access directly to the dock at the stunning Lake Blake. The overall atmosphere of the resort mimics Disney World, with an arcade room, a Disney gift store and six restaurants, with a Disney character breakfast on Sundays.

There is no shortage of touristy shops and restaurants in this prime Orlando location. The Buena Vista Palace Hotel and Spa is a 13-minute walk to Downtown Disney Pleasure Island, with eateries like Pooh's Corner and Raglan Road Irish Pub. Some of the restaurants in walking distance include: Cap'n Jack's Restaurant, T-Rex Cafe, Planet Hollywood, Wolfgang Puck Express, and Earl of Sandwich. Walt Disney World is a six-minute drive. Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is 12 minutes on foot. It’s a 22-minute drive to the Orlando International Airport. To get to SeaWorld Orlando it’s a 12-minute drive. The hotel does offer free theme park transportation.

With a massive skylight, the entrance way leading to the suites at Buena Vista Palace Hotel and Spa is full of natural light. There are four different types of suites at the resort that feature flat-screen TVs, large modern bathrooms, balconies, safes, mini-fridges, and in some -- small kitchenettes and living rooms. Rooms are spacious, full of natural light, and have some mod leather furniture along with some rather plain furniture. Island Disney Magic Kingdom and Epcot fireworks shows are visible from some rooms. Wi-Fi is available for a fee.
