This resort on International Drive clearly appeals to families in town to visit the Disney theme parks. The 20-acre property caters to guests with kids in tow with a plethora of family-friendly amenities; the outdoor pool complex has a “playscape” and offers poolside activities, and a free shuttle transports guests to the nearby theme parks.But plenty of guests also appear to be in the area for business, and can be found in the hotel’s small business center, modern meeting rooms, and lovely lobby, connecting to the Wi-Fi that is free throughout the property.Due to its size, the resort feels more like a neighborhood, and except on hot summer days by the pool, it is never crowded.

On bustling International Drive, the Floridays Resort is within walking distance of the numerous shops and restaurants that line the street. Its address also means that it’s just a 10- to 15-minute drive from theme parks such as Disney World and Sea World, and the hotel provides a free shuttle.

This all-condo property offers two and three-bedroom units that can sleep up to six people. Decor is upscale yet understated (picture earth-toned furniture, granite countertops, and wooden accents throughout), and units feel comfy and homey with plush bedding, fully stocked kitchens, washer/dryers, bathrooms with whirlpool tubs, and modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi.Both two and three-bedroom units feature open floor plans for the kitchens, living rooms, and dining rooms, and all have outdoor balconies. As an added bonus, they come with supplies for coffee and laundry, and guests can stock up on other necessities at the on-site cafe-supermarket combo.

The resort fee at Floridays is annoying, but it does cover a lot; Wi-Fi throughout the property, a shuttle service to Disney theme parks, Universal Studios, Sea World, and Aquatica, and parking are all included in the fee.The hotel also has tons of property features. The pool complex is certainly the highlight; it features several pools –- one with a “playscape,” water features, and lap lanes, and one quiet, adult option with a whirlpool –- as well as a pool bar with light bites, and poolside activities such as arts and crafts and movie nights.There is also a small game room, business center, and fitness center, with several cardio and weight-training machines, and a number of modern meeting rooms of various sizes.Dining options are relatively limited for a property of this size. Besides the pool bar, the resort has a cafe that serves a small menu of made-to-order items such as pizzas and salads; it provides the room service as well. It also features basic supermarket items, such as detergent and snacks, plus Starbucks coffee.
