Bottom Line

Formerly known as Quality Suites, the 154-room Canada Drive Hotel is a two-pearl hotel that's an easy drive from Orlando’s Orange
County Convention Center as well as area theme parks. With free breakfast, an outdoor pool, game room, and free Wi-Fi, this hotel is well-suited to families traveling on a budget. Spacious rooms have separate living areas, but furniture and carpet show signs of age and wear. The nearby International Palms Resort is more modern, but it's hard to beat the price at the Canada Drive Hotel.

Scene

Budget lodging for families and long-term guests

Situated in an older, seven-story building with rooms accessed from the outside via courtyard-facing walkways, this
hotel is surrounded by other hotels, warehouses, and suburban green spaces. Overall, it's nothing special, but the straightforward lodging is fine for guests looking to save some money in an otherwise expensive area. An open lobby with a vaulted ceiling greets guests and a silver chandelier hangs overhead. There are a pair of mismatched couches, black leather reclining chairs, and a business corner set with a desk and desktop computer. The breakfast area is an open space set with dark wooden tables and chairs. After breakfast, it's occasionally frequented by guests on their laptops or reading books. The hotel, like many in the area, is kid-friendly, with an outdoor pool and a game room with a fun selection of arcade games. The majority of guests are families on a budget who spend their time in the pool or at the parks.

Location

Near Orlando's convention center, an easy drive to theme parks

Situated in a green, palm tree-filled suburban area
surrounded by other hotels, the Orange County Convention Center is just over a five-minute drive from the hotel. All of Orlando's theme parks are also within an easy drive. Disney World and SeaWorld are both 12 minutes away by car, while Universal Studios Plaza is about a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Wet 'n Wild water park is just a three-minute hop away in a car. Two local bus lines stop just outside of the
hotel, but the travel time to nearby attractions via public transportation is about four times longer than
it is by car. The Orlando International Airport is a 20-minute drive from the
hotel.

Rooms

Spacious suites with separate living rooms, mini-fridges, and microwaves

There is not much that differentiates the categories of the 154 rooms at this
hotel from the other, beside the fact that some rooms have king-size beds and others have two
double beds. Rooms are spacious and include separate living areas, a sofa bed, and a second flat-screen TV, though emerald green industrial carpeting and light wood veneer furniture is old and dated. All rooms include free Wi-Fi, mini-fridges, microwaves, and coffeemakers. Bathrooms are divided into two parts: the sink, vanity, and spacious
counter area are in the main body of the room and the toilet and shower/tub combo
are behind a locking door. A hairdryer and toiletries are provided. Rooms overlook either the swimming pool or the parking lot. There have been reports of lingering cigarette odors in some guest rooms.

Features

Free breakfast, Wi-Fi, and parking

This hotel offers a free
breakfast for guests, which includes hot items and a waffle station. The hotel is both pet- and kid-friendly, with fun features like a spacious outdoor pool and a small game room with video
arcade games. There is free Wi-Fi access in rooms and throughout the property
as well as free outdoor parking. A convenience store sells snacks, drinks, and
laundry detergent. A coin-operated laundry room provides a place to wash and dry clothes. The hotel offers a computer corner in the lobby as well.
