Scene
Mid-range, family-friendly resort with amenities spread across the grounds
The Blue Tree Resort is made up of brown buildings that have the appearance of an apartment complex. Condos are housed in different building
units, most of which are not connected by walkways and some of which do not have elevators. The pools and hot tubs are spread out among the
different units, as are the sports courts and the mini-golf course, so that a
few amenities are close to each building. The lobby is a simple, chain-like affair with blue and green hues, a handful of armchairs and a couch, as well as a long, sleek reception desk and a business center.
The fitness center and game room are in the same building and are located near
the center of the resort. The resort mainly attracts families with kids and some couples, with
most guests congregating around the pools, and sounds of children are
common throughout the resort.
Location
Close to Orlando's most popular family attractions and shopping and within walking distance of restaurants and grocery stores
Blue Tree Resort at Lake Buena Vista is in a prime
location to Orlando’s most popular family attractions, shopping, and restaurants.
Disney theme parks are about a five-minute drive away, SeaWorld is a
seven-minute drive, and Universal is 16 minutes by car. The resort offers a free
shuttle service to and from these attractions. As for shopping, Orlando Vineland
Premium Outlets is only a six-minute drive from the resort, while several restaurants
are within walking distance. For guests who want to use their kitchens, there is a grocery store about a 10-minute walk away. The airport can be reached in 22 minutes, though the resort does not offer a shuttle service here.
Rooms
One- and two-bedroom condos with full kitchens, screened-in furnished porches, and pullout couches
Guests can choose between One or Two-Bedroom Suites,
with Two-Bedroom Suites having one queen-size bed and two twin-size beds. The colorful interiors have a subtle tropical theme with a focus on flowers in hues of blue,
green, and yellow. Each condo has a dining room table and a pullout couch in a living room area. There’s also a full-size kitchen with a large refrigerator,
stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher (with free dish soap and towels), and a
coffeemaker with filters. Some units have washers and dryers, though for rooms without,
there are two (pricey) coin-operated laundry facilities at the resort. Additionally,
all condos come with furnished screened-in porches. Bathrooms are fairly small and standard with shower/tub combos with rainfall showerheads and a limited range of toiletries provided. Travelers should note that condos near pools are
subject to noise during the day and evening. Additionally, the units get serviced by housekeeping only once during a stay of nine or
more days and there have been multiple reports of problems with cleanliness and maintenance issues.
