The Inn at the Rogue doesn't have much to distinguish it from any other roadside Best Western, and the simple exteriors make way to an equally plain lobby with tile floors, a couple of solid rugs, and a plush sofa. The furniture is tasteful, however, and there are framed mirrors and a few potted palms that add a little beauty to the space. A staircase divides the lobby into two and there are a couple of brown easy chairs, a wooden fireplace, and a business corner with a large wooden desk on the far end. Guests tend to be passers-by en route between California and the Pacific Northwest, and families with children are welcome.

The nearest airport is in Medford, a half-hour drive away. It's a 45-minute drive to Ashland and about an hour and a half by car to Crater Lake National Park. It's a four-hour drive to Portland, traffic permitting.
