Scene
A home base for many convention delegates and families visiting Disney
The Hyatt Regency offers the facilities, amenities, and location that appeal to both business travelers and families visiting Disneyland. Many people attending events at the hotel or nearby convention center will bring their families and extend their trips with a visit to the popular theme park. This hotel is an eye-catching property in its own right, with a soaring, 17-story glass atrium that fills the expansive lobby with natural light.
Two-story palm trees and other tropical plants help decorate the modern and airy space that’s further brightened by the light-beige floor tiles. Two-story wood paneling behind the reception area adds an elegant feel, while wavy wood paneling creates cozy seating areas at the two lobby restaurants. Although some restaurant decor feels dated, such as turquoise carpeting and neon light displays in the OC Brewhouse, the overall vibe is energetic and playful. A distinctive chandelier comprised of clear glass bubbles hangs over part of the TusCA restaurant, while the brewhouse features a large circular bar with a dark granite top. Both are fun spots where guests can kick back after long days of business or pleasure.

Rooms
Tastefully decorated and comfortably sized with iPod docks and coffeemakers
Standard Rooms and a variety of Suites are available, all clean and with comfy beds. Decor is similar across categories and includes high-quality reddish-wood furniture, and walls and textiles in shades of tan, brown, and gold. Bright-white bedding, striped curtains, and patterned carpeting lend some flair, but overall the style is somewhat bland. The Hyatt Grand Bed packages are a nice touch, with down comforters and pillow-top mattresses. Rooms also have desks with leather office chairs. Standard Rooms measure 375 square feet and come in king and two-queen options. All have 37-inch flat-screen TVs and iHome stereos, along with laptop safes and free Wi-Fi. Coffeemakers with Starbucks coffee are appealing, but mini-fridges are only available on request. The average-size bathrooms have large wooden vanities, beige tile framing the shower/tub combos, and KenetMD toiletries.
All 242 Suites have mini-fridges and microwaves, and some have wet bars. Families might want to consider the 375-square-foot Kid's Suites, which have separate bedrooms -- one with a king-size bed and the other with bunk beds and a TV. To really up the ante, there are 700-square-foot VIP Family Suites with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and sleeper sofas. Hypo-Allergenic rooms also are offered with air purifiers. Some outer-facing rooms in the north tower can see the Disney fireworks. Rooms facing the atrium can get significant noise from the lobby, especially when the hotel is hosting large meetings.
