It's within a five-minute drive of John Wayne Airport and a 20-minute drive to Disneyland Park. Contemporary yet vintage-style rooms have mini-fridges,

Scene

A vintage yet modern, homey, Old-World hotel with cozy common areas

Asian statues decorate the
entrances to the hotel, while a vintage, somewhat quaint style permeates the homey lobby. A
quiet atmosphere emanates throughout, and there are several small seating areas with
red and gray tufted couches and benches. Red velvet pillows add color, while
marble fireplaces, tan stone arches, Dutch china, and nautical oil paintings
add to the charm. Free cookies, newspapers, coffee, and fruit-infused water are found in the lobby. Many common areas and meeting rooms include chandeliers, fireplaces with antique tile, and
vintage furniture with floral and striped prints. Historic photos, many of the Ayres family, line the hallways, while the Le Chateau Garden Bistro has a
refined and polished style, with wood beams, tan- and red-patterned chairs, tan
carpet, and nautical artwork. Guests can also dine in the cobblestone courtyard, which has a gorgeous fountain, and potted flowers that add color.

Rooms

Modern yet antique, with carved wood furniture and granite

Rooms have a modern yet
antique style, with gold bedspreads tied to dark-green patterned carpeting, plus brown
leather couches, carved-wood bed frames, and crown molding. Decor can either feel elegant or old-fashioned, depending on perspective. All rooms have mini-fridges,
flat-screen TVs, and coffeemakers. Junior Suites come with wet bars with
granite countertops and microwaves. Be aware that some rooms get noise from the nearby airport. Stylish bathrooms, with shower/tub combos, match tan tile to gray-speckled granite
countertops. Suites have jetted tubs, while all bathrooms include Ayres Hotels toiletries. Ayres properties are known for their personalized service, and the staff goes out of its way to accommodate guests' needs, even stocking the room with guests' favorite magazines or commemorating special occasions with a box of candy, bottle of wine, or special gift.
