Scene
Expansive resort with lots of green spaces, pools, and a beach
Sentido Lykia Resort is a large all-inclusive neighboring its sister megaresort Liberty Hotels Lykia. Guests have access to the plethora of facilities next door as well, so although it's a 10-minute drive from the Blue Lagoon and main strip, there are plenty of activities to keep travelers occupied on-site. The resort caters to adults 16 and older, offering a relaxed, mature atmosphere. The mountains rest in the back of the resort and the sea shimmies in the front, so guests are bound to have spectacular views from all directions. Lush green spaces are abundant, though some are filled with wasps -- a common problem in Oludeniz. The design throughout is contemporary and sleek, utilizing lots of neutral otnes with pops of beach-inspired blues. Due to its expansive grounds, the resort provides a shuttle to get around.
Location
Seaside resort with taxis outside to take guests exploring
Sentido Lykia Resort sits along a pebbly beach in Oludeniz, with the Babadag Mountains at its back. Although it has shuttles to get around within the resort, it doesn’t offer them to nearby towns. Guests can make the 40-minute walk into Oludeniz proper or they can take a ten-minute taxi ride, with cabs readily available just outside the grounds. It takes 10 minutes to get to the Blue Lagoon by car, or guests have the option of taking a boat shuttle there, too. It’s a 15-minute ride to the small village of Hisaronu, which has lots of restaurants, spas, and a hopping nightlife. Fethiye (30 minutes away) has cultural attractions, such as a museum, castle, and some ruins, as well as a bustling market day. Dalaman Airport is 75 minutes away by car and the resort can provide transfers for a fee.
Rooms
Spacious, modern rooms with furnished outdoor spaces
The resort underwent a renovation in 2014, resulting in sleek, spacious rooms designed with a neutral color palette and contemporary furniture. Decor varies a bit between room categories, but they have wood floors, white walls, light- or dark-wood furniture, leather headboards, and patterned bed runners in shades of blue. Also standard are striking beach photographs along the walls. Rooms have furnished balconies or terraces, with either land or sea views. Rooms and suites include modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs, minibars stocked with free soda, safes, tea- and coffee-making facilities, bathrobes, and slippers. All rooms have a sitting area. Large bathrooms rainfall showerheads, hairdryers, and in select rooms, jetted tubs.
Features
Pools, beach area, restaurants and bars, spa, and fitness center
Guests at the Sentido Lykia can use the extensive facilities at next door Liberty Hotels Lykia, however, there are plenty of amenities to keep guests entertained on-site. For starters, the resort has several choices of pools, including the main pool with plenty of loungers and occasionally exercise activities. One outdoor pool has two waterslides, and a lovely indoor pool has a whirlpool. The quiet pool is surrounded by loungers, with pine trees and mountains in the background. The pebble beach is lined with loungers, straw umbrellas, billowy canopy tents, and outdoor showers. The main restaurant offers a wide variety of fresh quality fare with a changing theme each day, which is a standout among the all-inclusives that normally receive gripes about repetition of food. There are two a la carte restaurants, plus three bars, and drinks at this all-inclusive are 24 hours. The Sentido Blue Bar is reputed to be a great spot to watch sunsets. The spa has a lovely Turkish Bath, a salt cave, sauna, steam room, and a variety of body treatments. The spacious fitness center is better than most in the area, with large glass windows and ample cardio and weight-training machines. Exercise classes, including aqua fit, Zumba, Pilates, and yoga are available, as are nearly 20 tennis courts and a three-hole golf course. Wi-Fi is free throughout.
