The upper-middle-range Perdikia Hill is a family-friendly, all-inclusive hotel located in Ovacik in Oludeniz. As its name implies, Perdikia sits atop a hill, which combined with its remote location nearly necessitates guests drive or take public transportation to nearby attractions. However, there are plenty of taxis and public buses, along with a hotel-run shuttle, to transport guests. Inside the resort, there is plenty to do thanks to several pools, games, and entertainment. The all-inclusive restaurant gets fair reviews, with usual suggestions for more food variety. The 98 rooms are plain but functional and modern, with air conditioners, flat-screen TVs, and Wi-Fi. Folks may want to compare rates with the three-pearl Suncity Hotel and Beach Club, which offers proximity to the beach and better food ratings.
Scene
Family-friendly areas can be lively but the relaxation pool offers tranquility
Perdikia Hill is a family resort with three-story villas that have stone facades and outdoor spaces. The gorgeous grounds have stone paths, hammocks and benches in green areas, and the Babadag Mountains as the backdrop. Interior spaces are a mix of modern and dated furnishings. The lobby has armchairs in multiple colors, a wood-paneled front desk, and pink and purple crystal light fixtures. The contemporary restaurant has a purple and tan color scheme inside, plus an outdoor terrace with black wrought-iron light fixtures hanging from a wooden ceiling. Given the kids' club, animation team, and pool with waterslides, guests tend to be families, though couples can find a more peaceful setting at the adult-only infinity pool.
Location
Secluded locale, with plenty of public transportation options
Perdikia Hill is in a secluded location in Ovacik, atop a steep hill. Guests should be ready to take public transportation, which is readily available outside the hotel, to get to nearby attractions, unless they want to tackle the hill. It’s a five-minute drive to Oludeniz, which has ample restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, and paragliding agencies, and a little longer if going to Oludeniz Beach. The hotel offers a free 15-minute shuttle to a sandy private beach, where loungers can be rented. It’s a 10-minute drive to Hisaronu’s lively nightlife, restaurants, and spas. Fethiye offers market days and cultural attractions -- highlights include a castle, an amphitheater, a museum, and ruins. It takes 15 minutes by taxi to arrive. The ghost town of Kaya Coy is another interesting jaunt and it's 25 minutes away. Dalaman is the nearest airport, roughly an hour away by road.
Rooms
Rooms are modern with amenities and views of the mountains
Perdikia Hill has Family Rooms and Standard Rooms with a contemporary, if a bit plain, design consisting of tan carpeting, wooden furniture, and earth-tone linens. Some rooms have small pieces of artwork along the walls, but decor is minimal. Air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, mini-fridges, and flat-screen TVs are standard, but safes require a fee. Family Rooms have two bedrooms and can be a little tight for three or four people, but Standard Rooms are considered spacious. Modern bathrooms have shower stalls, toiletries, and hairdryers. Furnished outdoor spaces vary in size, though ground-floor rooms have the most space. Upper-level balconies have wrought-iron balconies, and many enjoy gorgeous views of the mountains. In addition to the hotel rooms, Perdikia Hill also has furnished villas with kitchens, living areas, and four or five bedrooms, plus private pools.
Features
Various pools, all-inclusive dining, and activities for kids
Perdikia Hill has several lovely pools, including an adult-only (over age 16) pool, with a small but quiet deck and stunning views of the mountains. The main pool is large, with two waterslides and an attached toddler’s pool. There's also a separate kids' pool in this area. The surrounding deck is packed with loungers and umbrellas. For more water-based fun, guests can take the hotel's shuttle to a sandy strip of beach near the Blue Lagoon, though they'll have to rent loungers once there. The all-inclusive restaurant does not receive stellar reviews, but it gets praise for its salads, soups, and offering food through the day -- including snacks, Turkish pizza, ice cream, and cakes at tea time. Three bars provide alcoholic beverages, though the included beverages are limited. Poolside service is available. There is a tiny air-conditioned gym with just a handful of equipment. A tennis court and game room are available, as are daily activities and shows run by the animation team. The spa's whirlpool, steam room, and sauna all come at an extra cost. Its Turkish bath, massage treatments, and shave services, which have expected fees, all come highly recommended by past guests. Wi-Fi is free by patchy throughout.
