Liberty Hotels is an upper-middle-range property on Turkey’s Turquoise Coast, near the main strip and within a 10-minute walk of the Blue Lagoon. The hotel attracts both couples and families with its array of amenities, including three pools: the main pool, one for children, and one for adults only. The buffet restaurant and bar receive rave reviews and have outdoor seating with occasional live entertainment. A fitness room and Turkish bath are on-site, as is a kids' club. The 203 rooms are contemporary, outfitted with flat-screen TVs, minibars, and balconies, though some have disappointing views. Note that the hotel closes in the winter. Liberty attracts repeat guests for a reason, but couples may prefer the less lively Hotel Morina.
Scene
Family-friendly hotel with lots of activities
Liberty Hotels has a contemporary design throughout, sprinkled with ample amenities to make it family-friendly. The granite-floored lobby is a two-story affair decorated in a mostly neutral palette, with turquoise-blue velvet chairs and Turkish chandeliers. The indoor buffet area is less stylish, featuring wooden tables in white tablecloths, and a bizarre mix of animal statues on top of the buffet stations. An outdoor terrace provides a more attractive setting and is often the sight of live entertainment. Also outside are manicured grounds with stone pathways, palm trees, and grassy courtyards.Like most area properties, rooms are housed in three-story villas with red-tiled roofs and wrought-iron balconies. Rooms flank one side of the main pool, while the restaurant and bar border the other. The atmosphere is casual and fun, thanks to constant activity such as bingo, karaoke, belly dancing, and water polo. Though seemingly best suited to families, an adult-only pool and spa are available for couples.
Location
By the main strip and minutes from the beaches
Liberty Hotels Oludeniz is conveniently located near the main strip, a 10-minute walk from the famous Blue lagoon. It's a quick five-minute walk to the beach, which is several blocks south of the hotel. There is a free hotel shuttle bus which will take guests to Billy’s Beach or Paradise Beach in less than 10 minutes. Sugar Beach is a 20-minute walk. The hotel provides transfers to Dalaman Airport for a fee, which takes just over an hour. Hisaronu, a little village with lots of restaurants, spas, hotels, and souvenir shops, is an eight-minute drive or an hour walk. For some culture, travelers often go to Fethiye, a beautiful seaside town with a castle, amphitheater, and ruins, is about 30 minutes away by car.
Rooms
Pleasant rooms with outdoor spaces, though some have poor views
There are 203 contemporary rooms outfitted with wood floors, light floral-pattern wallpaper behind the beds, two-tone wood furniture including headboards with white-leather cushioning, and blue armchairs next to small tables. Rooms have sliding glass doors that lead out to the small but furnished balconies, some with lovely views of the Babadag mountain range and others with disappointing building vistas. All rooms come with wall-mounted flat-screen TVs, in-room safes (for a fee), free Wi-Fi, and minibars. The rooms in the front of the hotel can be a little noisy from the street. Modern bathrooms have shower stalls, ample toiletries, wall-mounted hairdryers, and travel kits (for a fee). Rooms range from Standard and Superior Rooms to Family Rooms and a Honeymoon Room with an outdoor whirlpool, tufted furniture, and jacquard bedding and drapery.
Features
Boisterous and quiet pools, plus well-reviewed dining
List most resorts, the crowning feature is its large main pool where all the animation activities take place. Its deck has plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas, plus surrounding views of the mountains are spectacular. Also available are an octagon-shaped children’s pool and a "Silent Pool" for adults over the age of 16. The rustic pool bar has a wood-beam ceiling, wooden seating, and a stone bar. It has a menu of beverages and snacks. The Garden Restaurant and Bar serves continental breakfast and elaborate buffets with seating both indoors and outdoors. Food gets rave reviews, especially for their barbecue and Turkish nights, and the eatery is open to the public. Half-board and full-board options are available and all rates include breakfast.A gorgeous Turkish bath is on-site, with gray and white marble, colorful inlaid tile, and a sky roof. Guests can access the sauna and small gym for free, or purchase a range of spa services. Though the fitness center is disappointing, aqua fitness is a big hit, as are water polo, water volleyball, and yoga. Table tennis, billiards, and darts, plus a kids' club are additional options. Wi-Fi is free throughout.
