Vive Hotel Waikiki

Vive is a tall property with rooms starting on the seventh floor. The Living Room lobby is pretty with clusters of leather and fabric chairs and couches. Fashionable rugs, accent pillows, and unique vases and lamps have all been curated into the space with a striking effect. The lobby has a wall of books for guests that want to grab one and sit down to read. The next five floors are taken up by the hotel's exposed parking garage. The atmosphere throughout is relaxed and refined.

The hotel is located on Kuhio Avenue near several other hotels. The beach is a five-minute walk away from the hotel. Some rooms have ocean views, but this is not an oceanfront property and there are other hotels and buildings in between that partially block the view. The hotel is just outside the heart of Waikiki on the side of Diamond Head. There are several nearby restaurants and a Royal Mini Mart. The Honolulu Zoo is less than a 10-minute walk, and Honolulu Airport is a 20-minute drive.

Rooms start on the seventh floor at the Vive Hotel. Standard rooms are small and bright with minimal décor. All rooms have flat-screen TVs with cable channels, clock radios with MP3 connectors, and mini-fridges. Bathrooms have shower/tub combos and bathrobes are provided. The Penthouse Suite has a big kitchen, ten seat dining table, and living room space decorated with funky lamps and colorful pillows. There are no coffee machines in the rooms.

Vive serves a free breakfast of fruits, pastries, and coffee in their pretty lobby. They also have board games to play including checkers and backgammon. There’s a wall full of books guests can read. At the front desk, guests can borrow beach towels, chairs, and boogie boards for a day at the beach. Valet parking is available for a fee. There is no fitness center or pool on-site.
