Bottom Line

The Tower Hotel is a great mid-to-upper range option for travelers wanting an intimate, boutique hotel experience with beautiful views of Niagara Falls and the city. This smaller property doesn’t include as many amenities as some of the nearby chain hotels, but each room is uniquely decorated and includes a kitchenette. What's more, views of Niagara Falls and the river are some of the best in the area -- every room is located on either the 26th, 27th, or 28th floor of the hotel and has floor-to-ceiling windows for prime viewing. With its dining options -- including a lobby cafe and Mediterranean restaurant with views of the falls -- and wedding services, as well as free Wi-Fi in guest rooms, the hotel is both convenient and charming. If you're afraid of heights, book elsewhere.

Scene

Stylish and inviting, with funky touches

Scene The Tower Hotel

The lobby at The Tower Hotel is bright, modern, and funky, with bright whites, bold purples, and accents of gray and silver. The main lobby is spacious and welcoming, with an ornately printed rug and tiered beaded chandelier. Two enormous purple armchairs are placed against the wall. An open doorway off the lobby leads to a large, contemporary lounge with gray and purple furniture, metal tables, and plush high-backed booths. There are several elevators and a large reception desk -- with more purple touches. The lobby is where you'll find Fuel Cafe and Bar. Most guests are here to visit the nearby falls, but the on-site wedding chapel adds an air of romance to this boutique property.

Location

Centrally located in the busy Fallsview district

Located amongst a number of hotels and restaurants on busy Fallsview Boulevard, the Tower Hotel is easy to spot thanks to its distinctive lamppost shape. The popular Fallsview tourist district has plenty to do: loads of bars, a casino, museums, and restaurants -- travelers can also tour area wineries and join adventure tours. The Horseshoe Falls are only 500 yards from the hotel, and a paved path allows guests to walk easily from point to point, seeing the falls from different perspectives. Valet and self-parking is available for a fee.

Rooms

Small but sophisticated, with large windows and amazing views

Rooms The Tower Hotel

While the rooms at the Tower Hotel aren't small, they have a slightly awkward layout due to the hotel's lamppost shape. Wall-to-wall windows overlook the nearby falls or city of Niagara. Each room is located on the top three floors of the tower and is decorated in a unique and distinctive modern style, with no two alike -- some have purple accents, others zebra-print, etc. Guests have the option of a single king or queen size bed, and each room includes a microwave, mini-fridge, and free Wi-Fi. Dark gray tiled bathrooms consist of a glass-encased step-in shower and bowl sink. Plastic cups set on the narrow vanity counter are wrapped in plastic.Toiletries and a wall-mounted hairdryer are provided.

Features

Lobby cafe, Mediterranean restaurant, and wedding chapel

Features The Tower Hotel

As a smaller boutique property, The Tower Hotel includes fewer features than some of its neighbors. Fuel, a cafe and bar, has snacks, breakfast and lunch options, and cocktails. It also offers room service. A wedding chapel is located on the 25th floor, and the 26th floor houses Marilyn’s Bistro & Lounge, serving dinner and drinks in a casual Mediterranean style. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas and guest rooms. While there is a daily fee for valet or self parking, it’s significantly cheaper than other nearby hotels.
