Bottom Line

Part of the Quality Hotel chain, this budget property offers a good value that's close to the falls and the tourist-friendly scene in town. Interiors are relatively modern, and pleasant rooms have hardwood floors, flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, and free Wi-Fi. Some include bedside whirlpool tubs, and the best have views of the American Falls. Bathrooms are small, however, and some guests complain of noise issues. Daily breakfast is included in rates and the hotel has an indoor pool and a hot tub. Otherwise, amenities are limited. Travelers might want to compare with nearby hotels, such as the Clifton Victoria Inn at the Falls, which offers similar amenities, or the Travelodge Hotel Niagara Falls Fallsview, which adds an on-site restaurant and a fitness center.

Scene

Budget chain hotel with homey, predictable style, can be a good value for area

This budget property from the Quality Hotels chain comprises three buildings, two of which are low-rise motel-style structures with exterior hallways, as well as a larger brick building. Upon entering, guests are greeted in a small lobby cloaked in earth tones and a mix of patterns, including burgundy marble topping the front desk, marbled abstract art adorning the wall behind it, and a geometric area rug decorating a corner seating area. Furnishings are contemporary and decor is eclectic and homey, but interiors are pleasant enough, especially since most guests are out and about all day and night. There's nothing special about the decor here and perks are limited, but it's a solid choice for budget travelers seeking a good value.

Location

Central location close to attractions, restaurants, and shops, just above the falls

The hotel has a convenient downtown location about a five-minute walk to Niagara Falls and Queen Victoria Park, and close to restaurants, shops, and other tourist attractions. Skylon Tower is next door, while Fallsview Casino Resort is a four-minute walk from the hotel. Journey Behind the Falls can be reached in 13 minutes on foot. Other nearby notable landmarks include the Horseshoe Falls (13-minute walk), Clifton Hill (15-minute walk), Rainbow Bridge (20-minute walk away or a four-minute drive), the White Water Walk (seven-minute drive), and the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens (14-minute drive). Niagara Falls International Airport is a 25-minute drive away. Buffalo, NY, can be reached in about 35 minutes by car, while Toronto is an hour-and-a-half away.

Rooms

Clean, pleasant rooms have flat-screen TVs and coffeemakers, some add whirlpool tubs

Room decor differs slightly based on category, but all are clean and pleasant, with tasteful colors like soft beiges, dusty salmon, lilac, or pale peach giving them a homey look. Wooden floors are a big plus and give the rooms a little more polish than standard budget-level fare. Furniture is sleek and simple, in either blonde or dark wood. Some rooms also have small private balconies furnished with chairs, and the best offer views of the falls. Note that some guests have complained of noise issues due to thin walls.Standard amenities include flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, word desks, irons and ironing boards, and free Wi-Fi, but there are no mini-fridges. Bathrooms are small, but adequate, with shower/tub combos or walk-in rainfall showers. Wall-mounted hairdryers are provided, as are toiletries. Upper-category bathrooms are a bit nicer, with sleek beige tiling. Hot Tub Rooms have whirlpool tubs in the bedrooms.

Features

Indoor pool and hot tub and several freebies including breakfast, coffee in the lobby, Wi-Fi, and parking

The hotel offers an indoor pool and a hot tub in a bright and airy space illuminated by natural light thanks to lots of large windows. A couple of chairs line the perimeter of the pool.Though there's no restaurant on-site, a free continental breakfast is served daily in the dining room. Free coffee is also available in the lobby throughout the day. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi throughout the property as well as free on-site parking.
