Courtyard by Marriott Niagara Falls

The lobby at this hotel is bright and clean, with plenty of seating and a large tour desk right near the door. The reception desk is farther into the room, past the entrance for The Keg restaurant, but is large and easy to find. The small 24-hour market shop is just past the front desk, offering snacks and drinks as well as frozen items and a microwave for guest use. Elevators are nearby, and down the hall are entrances to the guest laundry facilities, game room, fitness center, and both indoor and outdoor pools.

This Courtyard is located just off of Main Street, in a busy corner of the Clifton Hill tourist district, tucked between a number of hotels, restaurants, and attractions. Though there are buildings on all sides and a decent amount of tourists going by, this hotel is far enough back to escape some of the noise and foot traffic of the hectic neighborhood, while still being convenient to all the nearby attractions and activities. This district is bustling and can feel like a bit of a theme park, with souvenir shops, casinos, a wax museum, and the like. Rooms in the front will look out onto this busy main road, but views out the back of the property will find quite a bit of green space. It's a seven-minute walk to the Niagara Falls Sky Wheel, a 15-minute walk to views of the falls, and 20 minutes to the Table Rock Welcome Centre.

The rooms are clean and contemporary, with a good amount of space and nice amenities. They're decorated in shades of burgundy and yellow, and every room includes a mini-fridge, coffeemaker, in-room safe, and free Wi-Fi. Standard Rooms are fairly large, but bigger groups should consider upgrading to a Family Suite with two queen beds, a pull-out sofa bed, and a fireplace. Some suites have both fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. Expect minor signs of wear and don't expect views of the falls -- but a nice view of the city is possible.

The location of this property is one of its best features, giving guests quick and easy access to the Clifton Hill tourist district as well as the nearby Fallsview district. The hotel itself has two on-site restaurants: The Keg Steakhouse & Bar, which inside the main building, and a TGI Friday’s across the parking lot. The lobby also includes a small 24-hour market with snacks and beverages. Also on the property are a business center, guest laundry facilities, a game room with arcade games, an indoor pool and whirlpool, an outdoor pool with water slide, and a 24-hour fitness center. Each room includes free Wi-Fi, but there is a fee for daily parking as well as for the daily breakfast buffet.
