Convenient location in Nolita: easy walking distance to New York's trendiest neighborhoods

Most rooms are on the smaller side
Many bathrooms lack privacy with open-air tubs and shower windows opening to the room
The Nolitan is a boutique with tiny, simple, and charming rooms that are very appropriate for its neighborhood. The soft-industrial motif is similar to that of The James: Rooms take on a retro-modern style with exposed cement poles and ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, high-design furniture, and cool touches such as drawers under the bed and safes and minibars hidden in nightstands. There's a distinct lack of bathroom privacy, however: In some units (such as Neighborhood Corner Rooms), bathrooms are entirely open to the rest of room, while others have exposed glass showers (granted, there's a privacy curtain). But the healthy amounts of natural light and great views go a long way in making everything feel homey.
Location
In Nolita on quaint, quiet, and hip Elizabeth Street, within walking distance of popular neighborhoods and several subway lines
The Nolitan takes the name of its small neighborhood, a relatively newly coined term that's short for "north of Little Italy." The area itself is made up of only a few blocks, surrounded by SoHo, Chinatown, the Lower East Side, and the Bowery, putting it smack dab in the middle of the trendiest neighborhoods in all of New York City. Some of New York's most well-known restaurants and boutiques line the residential streets, but Nolita does become relatively quiet at night -- however, there are some great bars and nightlife within a few blocks of the hotel.- One block from the J, M subway lines; two blocks to the B, [ D lines]; about four blocks to the 6 line; five blocks from the F subway line -- easy access to any Manhattan neighborhood
