The Islander Beach Resort’s V-shape architectural design allows most rooms to enjoy beautiful beachfront views. The seven-floor, blue and white building is centered around a large, outdoor pool and has a private wooden staircase that leads to the beach, where skimboarders ride the waves and tourists lounge in chairs. Inside, the lobby is decorated in homey, if dated, decor that includes rattan furniture and blue accent walls in a sea of beige tiling, while hallways have unexciting stucco walls and blue doors. The property attracts mainly older guests as well as travelers with kids.

This beachfront resort is situated on a gorgeous stretch of sand off of a busy four-lane road. There are several restaurants, bars, and shops in the area, as well as banks, a supermarket, and a movie theater within walking distance of the property. Studios offer kitchenettes and sitting areas, while One- and Two-Bedroom Apartments feature living and dining areas separated by counters from the kitchens, which have dishwashers, oven, stoves, microwaves, refrigerators, coffeemakers, toasters, and blenders. Bathrooms have old-fashioned wallpaper and come with shower/tub combos, but toiletries are not included. Cleaning supplies are provided since there’s limited housekeeping and towel exchange is available.
