The lobby is located on the second floor of Courtyard New Orleans Downtown/Iberville, and there's a separate elevator to access the guest rooms. Three individual reception desks are grouped in front of a blown-up photograph of a pink flower, and a tiered crystal chandelier adds a touch of elegance to the space. Gray sectional sofas look brand new, while hot pink ottomans and circular silver settees are fun contemporary touches. This fun, vibrant style pervades throughout the hotel.Flat-screen TVs and computers are plentiful in the lobby and there's a place to print boarding passes. An unfurnished balcony overlooking the street is accessible via double doors -- though it's probably not a comfortable place to linger for long.

The Ritz-Carlton is attached to the hotel, and the surrounding area includes a seafood restaurant and women's clothing boutique. As with most hotels in the French Quarter, expect to pay daily for valet parking.
