Convenient to the Opryland attractions, the hotel is a five-minute drive to the Opryland Resort and Convention Center and about a 10-minute drive to the Grand Ole Opry and the Opry Mills mall. The hotel provides free shuttle service to the Opryland area and the airport. About a 20-minute drive away, downtown Nashville is a trek from the hotel, but a third-party shuttle service offers round-trip service for a fee.

Rooms at the Hyatt Place have chain-like decor -- not unexpected since this is in fact a chain hotel. Expect white bedding, dark wood accents, and plenty of beige. All have a seating area with a sofa bed and a small desk. This layout makes the room feel more spacious. The bathrooms are unadorned and small, and the closets are tiny.
