Scene

A modern, luxurious hotel with a tropical feel and an exceptional garden

Sitting on 26 acres of land, this luxurious resort features wonderful art and architecture throughout the property, which is surrounded by magnificent grounds filled with lush flowers, plants, and trees. There's a beautiful, well-maintained garden with several handsome fountains and wood seating around fire pits, as well as three pools surrounded by palm trees. The vast and airy lobby has gleaming, red marble and onyx floors and high ceilings with wood features. Gorgeous light fixtures hang from above, while large pillars throughout are flanked by potted plants. Floor-to-ceiling windows illuminate the elegant sitting area, which features a collection of soft colored sofas and armchairs on a tropically patterned area rug. The hotel's many restaurants and bars are equally stylish, from the lovely Tarpon Bay with its stone vaulted ceilings, white wood furnishings, and beach feel, to the Old Florida style of Braxton's, which includes fishing decorations and sailboat artwork.

Location

Located in a high-end community, five-minute drive to Estero Bay

The Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa is located in the upscale community of Bonita Springs with Estero Bay a five-minute drive away. Lovers Key State Park is a 10-minute drive, while Coconut Point Mall, Bonita Beach Park, and Mercato are a 15-minute drive from the resort. Barefoot Beach and the Southwest Florida International Airport are a 20-minute drive away, while Germain Arena, Gulf Coast Town Center, and JetBlue Park at Fenway South are 25 minutes.

Rooms

Stylish, contemporary rooms and suites in soft shades, an array of amenities, and private balconies

Stylish, modern decor in soft, neutral hues adorns the rooms, which feature mauve and cream floral carpets, cream-colored walls, and floor-to-ceiling windows illuminating the spaces with natural light. Vibrant tropical artwork and accent pillows add a pop of color to the light shades and white or blond wood furniture. All rooms have private balconies, some of which offer marvelous Estero Bay views, as well as 37-inch flat-screen TVs, DVD players, coffeemakers, iPod docks, mini-fridges, and free newspapers are also provided. Regency Club Rooms and Regency Suites offer access to the Club Lounge, free continental breakfast, and dedicated Regency Club Concierges. Some suites also have wet bars, multiple balconies, and wood dining areas. Tan marble-topped vanities and shower/tubs are in the contemporary, well-lit bathrooms, as are makeup mirrors, hairdryers, and KenetMD toiletries. Some bathrooms have walk-in showers and lighted mirrors, and bathrobes are available by request.

Features

Three outdoor pools plus private beach, many restaurants/bars, 18-hole golf course, and full-service spa

The three outdoor pools are the highlight of the hotel, and cater to all ages: the family pool has waterslides and a hot tub, while a cold pool and a fantastic waterfall feature accompany the adults-only lap pool. All pool areas are surrounded by thick greenery and sundecks with lounge chairs. A private, white-sanded beach area is provided on Big Hickory Island, which is only accessible by boat shuttle.
Several restaurants and bars are offered on-site, including Tanglewood with grilled American cuisine and Tarpon Bay with seafood dishes. Cocktails, beers, salads, and sandwiches are served at Braxton’s, while Corkscrew has frozen drinks, burgers, cocktails, wraps, and salads. Mangroves provides small plates in addition to beer, wine, and cocktails, and the Belvedere Lounge is 24/7 with board games and cocktails. Starbucks coffee plus pastries, salads, and sandwiches are served at Cool Beans. Some of the restaurants are award-winning and garner excellent reviews, but prices are high.
The on-site, full-service spa, Stillwater Spa, has a Watsu pool and beauty salon as well as offering massages, facials, body treatments, mani/pedis, and blowouts. Designed by Raymond Floyd, the 18-hole Raptor Bay Golf Course and club is available on-site along with a marina, tennis courts, kids' club, car rental, and bike and kayak rentals. Cardio and weight machines in addition to free weights and medicine balls are offered in two large rooms at the 24-hour fitness center while the 24/7 business center has a computer, printing, faxing, copying, and office supplies. This hotel also offers thousands of square feet of meeting space. Room and concierge services are 24-hours and the hotel is pet-friendly. However, there is a mandatory daily resort fee that covers sports equipment/facilities, shuttle services, safes, and on-site parking. Guests need to give advanced notice for pets and provide current health records at check-in. Additionally, there are fees for pets and only two dogs under 50 pounds are allowed per room.
