Pros
- Quiet location, a short walk from downtown Calistoga
- Homey, well-equipped rooms with fridges, microwaves, and redwood decks
- Outdoor pool with whirlpool and lounge chairs
- Continental breakfast included in rates, with hot items on the weekends
- Day spa (rare for budget hotels) with lots of treatments, including mud wraps
- Free and ample on-site parking
- Free Wi-Fi throughout
Bottom Line
EuroSpa & Inn is a cozy boutique inn with only 13 rooms, all with deluxe features including fridges, microwaves, and decks, some with lovely views. Despite the inn's diminutive size, it offers plenty of perks, including a free continental breakfast, a small outdoor heated pool with an adjacent whirlpool hot tub, and even a day spa with all sorts of treatments, including mud wraps. However, there's no restaurant for lunch and dinner and the lack of a fitness center may put some guests off. Still, for a reasonably priced quiet getaway near downtown Calistoga, EuroSpa & Inn certainly delivers. Travelers could also consider Calistoga Spa Hot Springs, which offers a fitness center with aerobics, yoga, and Pilates classes, plus rooms with kitchenettes.

Converted motel with a quiet, homey ambience; popular with tourists on a budget
Housed in a converted single-story motel flanked by palm trees and shrubbery, EuroSpa & Inn is a solid budget-friendly choice that attracts tourists looking for affordable getaways in the Napa Valley spa town. The lobby is homey and compact, with a small bench for seating and a big dark-wood display cabinet filled with drinks and books, plus a solid matching reception desk. There's not much else in terms of common areas beyond a covered breakfast area with a round gas stove and plenty of seating. But on the whole, EuroSpa is welcoming and unfussy, an atmosphere that guests find appealing.
Location
On the outskirts of downtown Calistoga, near wineries, parks, and golfing
EuroSpa and Inn is located a few blocks from quiet downtown Calistoga, the northernmost town of Napa Valley, and about an hour and a half from the Oakland International Airport by car. Calistoga has a more relaxed feel than other areas of Napa Valley, and it's known for its spas, hot springs, and mud baths. It is also home to, and nearby, many wineries. It's a five-minute walk to Pioneer Park, while getting to Mt. St. Helena Golf Course takes about four minutes by car. The Petrified Forest is a 10-minute drive from the hotel, while it's 13 minutes by car to Robert Louis Stevenson State Park and 15 minutes to downtown St. Helena. Santa Rosa takes about half an hour to reach by car, while Napa is 40 minutes or so away. The little Napa County Airport is 53 minutes by car, and reaching San Francisco takes two hours driving down the 101.
Rooms
Homey rooms with solid amenities including microwaves, fridges, jetted tubs, and fireplaces
This budget hotel offers a solid variety of rooms ranging from entry-level Classic Queens, each with one queen bed, clear up to larger Two-Room Suites with a king bed in one room and a queen in the other. All rooms come with great amenities, including flat-screen TVs, gas fireplaces, microwaves, mini-fridges, and deck areas with seating. Decor is homey and warm, with red accent walls and matching red patterned carpeting along with plush bedding with colorful throw cushions. Bathrooms aren't too shabby, either, with beige tiling, vessel sinks, cabinets for storage, and jetted whirlpool tubs that are either standalone or part of shower/tub combos.
Features
Pool, hot tub, spa with mud therapies, and free continental breakfast
Amenities at EuroSpa are pretty solid for a budget hotel of this size. There's no restaurant, but the inn does offer a free continental buffet breakfast of fruit, granola, and coffee served on an outdoor covered deck with a fireplace. Hot items are served on the weekends, and there are free afternoon snacks put out daily. The inn's most impressive feature, particularly at this pearl level, is its day spa, which offers all sorts of treatments, including facials and mud wraps. There's also a small heated outdoor swimming pool plus a hot tub and a few lounge chairs. A small grassy area right by the pool gives another spot to soak in some sunbeams. Other features include free Wi-Fi, free parking, and discounts at area wineries and restaurants.
