Marina Inn at Grande Dunes is a large resort with an ideal setting on the Grande Dunes Resort. The interiors border between classically elegant and old-fashioned. The lobby features a large central area with lightly-tiled floors and an extravagant central chandelier. Just off the lobby is a small lounge with antique furniture and a cozy fireplace. The expansive grounds feature lush lawns with numerous spots to relax and enjoy the views of the surrounding marina, golf course, and waterway. All of the dining facilities are quite dated in terms of decor and furnishings. The indoor section of Waterscapes features heavily patterned carpeted floors and old-fashioned furniture. Overall, the atmosphere is peaceful with a buzz of energy around the marina during high season. Guests here are a combination of business and leisure travelers, including groups and families.

Marina Inn at Grande Dunes is located within the 2,200 acre Grande Dunes Resort, between North and South Myrtle Beach. It's surrounded by walking trails, the marina, and green space and there are very few dining, shopping, and entertainment outlets nearby. Myrtle Beach Watersports, which offers a wide array of water sport activities, is five minutes away on foot. It's a five-minute drive to the beach, and the hotel offers a free shuttle. For families, Broadway at the Beach is a 10-minute drive away and features live entertainment, shops, and restaurants; Alligator Adventure is a 10-minute drive; the popular Family Kingdom Amusement Park is a 17-minute drive; the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel is a 14-minute drive; and the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade is a 20-minute drive from the resort. Nearby golf courses include: Grande Dunes Golf Resort (12-minute walk), Dunes Golf and Beach Club (seven-minute drive), Grande Golf Club (seven-minute drive), Arcadian Shores Golf Club (seven-minute drive), and Barefoot Resort & Golf (14-minute drive). It's about a 20-minute drive to the Myrtle Beach International Airport.

The 200 rooms at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes are spacious and elegant. Decor features a Mediterranean feel, with rustic earth tones of burnt oranges, deep browns, and neutral beige. Rooms feature patterned vinyl floors, wooden furniture, white linens with orange accents, and nature-themed artwork. Larger suites with separate bedrooms -- one-, two-, three-, or four-bedrooms -- and living/dining areas with larger kitchenettes are available. Amenities in all rooms include air-conditioning, ceiling fans, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, microwaves, tea- and- coffee-making facilities, vanities, work desks, telephones, safes, irons and ironing boards, and free Wi-Fi. Washer and dryers are available in the two- and three-bedroom suites. Bathrooms include Travertine tiled walls with walk-in showers, soaking tubs, hairdryers, and Tommy Bahama toiletries. Bathrobes are provided. All rooms have private furnished balconies with views of either the marina, golf course, or waterway.

Features are all about vacation. For restaurants, Waterscapes serves fresh, local cuisine; Reflections is in the lobby for drinks and light snacks; and Anchor Cafe is the place for casual dining with stunning sunset views. Waterscapes serves a daily a la carte breakfast, though the meal is not included in room rates. Room service is available. There is a large outdoor swimming pool which is surrounded by sun loungers and parasols. A pool bar and two outdoor hot tubs are also available. The hotel provides a beach service which includes a free shuttle to a nearby beach as well as use of beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels; along with the Beach Cabana Cafe which sells light snacks and beverages. Note that the full beach service is only available during high season.The heated indoor swimming pool, fitness center with modern LifeFitness equipment, and sauna are available 24 hours. Meeting and event facilities with catering for up to 700 guests are available. The daily resort fee, which varies based on room rates, includes Wi-Fi, on-site parking, and valet service.
