This mid-range resort attracts vacationers looking for a beachy getaway. It's spread across three neighboring buildings, the main one comprising a large multistory structure with a facade studded with balconies. It's a bit worn around the edges and could use some updates; interiors feature lackluster, dated decor, but guests tend to spend a lot of their time outside anyway, either at the pools or on the beach. The hotel offers many multi-bedroom condos with kitchens, which attract families, though couples and groups of friends stay here too. 

The hotel is situated right on the beach along Ocean Boulevard, a busy street that's lined with many other hotels and resorts. There are a couple of dining options (like a pancake house and a sub shop) within a five-minute walk. Myrtle Beach is continually ranked as one of America's best family beach destinations, and there are lots of kid-friendly attractions that are within a five- to 10-minute drive, including the SkyWheel, Family Kingdom Amusement Park, Broadway at the Beach, and Ripley's Believe It or Not! The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, which stretches for over a mile along the coast, is a five-minute drive away, or about a 25-minute walk. Myrtle Beach International Airport is about a 15-minute drive away. 

Guest rooms are dated and could use some refreshment; clad in pastel hues, the spaces feature unstylish patterned bedspreads that complement the curtains, as well as patterned carpets on the floor. There are a variety of different units available, including rooms with kitchens and multiple bedrooms (condos that sleep up to 10 or 12 people) that attract families and groups. Most units have living areas or separate living rooms with sleeper sofas, and all have balconies as well -- some with ocean views. Some of the larger units have kitchens equipped with dishwashers, full fridges, stoves/ovens, microwaves, coffeemakers, toasters, and dishware/cookingware, as well as dining areas and even laundry facilities.Standard amenities include TVs (a mix of flat-screen and tube-style), mini-fridges, microwaves, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms could also use some updates, and they're equipped with shower/tub combos or walk-in showers. They also offer hairdryers and some basic toiletries. Note that there have been some complaints about cleanliness here.

Beyond its oceanfront location, the other top highlight at this property is its water features. There are both indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, including a kids' pool and indoor and outdoor lazy rivers. Outdoor pool decks are lined with loungers and there's a poolside bar serving drinks and snacks, as well as an ice cream hut. The hotel also has a Starbucks cafe and a Ben & Jerry's shop. Breakfast is available for an additional fee at the neighboring seafood restaurant: Sea Captain’s House, which also serves lunch and dinner.The resort's fitness room is small and equipped with only a handful of dated machines. The hotel also offers spa services such as massages and body treatments. Other amenities include a game room with arcade games, a mini-mart selling snacks and sundries, free Wi-Fi, and free parking.
