De.Light Boutique Hotel

De.Light Boutique Hotel is located in one of the more serene spots on Mykonos, overlooking the sparkling blue Agios Ioannis Bay and Delos Island. The hotel is situated on grounds with wildflowers, wild grasses, and shrubs. Its three-story building is designed in the contemporary Cycladic style typical of Mykonos. The building is a brilliant white with light-blue doors, shutters, and railings, and the white contrasts nicely with the vivid blue of the bay and the infinity swimming pool. This same view is found in the restaurants, lobby-level balcony, and all of the suites. The hotel attracts well-heeled leisure travelers, including plenty of couples. The quiet vibe is particularly lovely, especially on an island that can feel bursting at the seams in high season.

De.Light Boutique Hotel is situated in the Agios Ioannis Diakoftis area overlooking the calm Agios Ioannis Bay on the Aegean Sea. This area isn't akin to the bustling little historic towns that most visitors to Mykonos want -- instead, expect just a few casual restaurants and cafes nearby, and a much slower pace. The nearest beach is a five-minute walk away and there are several other beaches within driving distance of the hotel. Ornos Beach takes five minutes to reach by car, Paraga Beach takes 15 minutes, and Paradise Beach a 20-minute drive from the hotel. Armenistis Lighthouse is also a 20-minute drive. A bus going to Mykonos Town -- a 10-minute drive away -- stops outside the hotel for those without their own car. In Mykonos Town visitors will find restaurants, bars, nightclubs, several museums, Matoyianni Street shopping, the iconic Mykonos Windmills, and Little Venice, characterized by historic houses perched over the water.  Mykonos Island National Airport is a 10-minute drive from the hotel and Mykonos Ferry Port is a 15-minute drive. 

All 18 units at De.Light Boutique Hotel are suites and have a bright, boutique aesthetic with contemporary furnishings and a clean, uncluttered layout. The color palette is mostly white and beige accented by combinations such as rose and pink, violet and purple, and black and brown. The plush white cotton bedding is complemented with striped bed throws and cushions. Suites range from 323 square feet (30 square meters) to 861 square feet (80 square meters). Some have dining areas and all have sitting areas, some with sofa beds. All suites feature private balconies or terraces with views of Agios Ioannis Bay. Some also have outdoor jetted tubs or even private infinity pools. All suites come with free newspapers, safes, CD players, air-conditioning, tea- and coffee-making facilities, minibars, flat-screen TVs with DVD players and a good range of English channels. The spacious bathrooms are sleek and stylish, with premium bath products, bathrobes, and slippers. Bathrooms feature some combination of jetted tubs, high-tech jet showers, and steam cabins. Note that smoking rooms are available and pets can stay for a fee. Twice-daily housekeeping with turndown service is provided. 

De.Light Boutique Hotel features a freeform infinity pool overlooking the blue Agios Ioannis Bay and distant Delos Island. The large pool deck has a bar and restaurant featuring exotic cocktails, fresh juices, and light fare. There's also an a la carte breakfast served free of charge, with a nice selection of both Mediterranean items as well as typical American breakfast items such as bacon and eggs. The main restaurant also overlooks the pool and bay, and serves healthy modern interpretations of traditional Mykonos cuisine, with an emphasis on seafood and fresh, seasonal produce. A wide selection of Greek wines is available. Outdoor dining, candlelight dinners, and 24-hour room service are available. 

The small on-site spa offers massages, a hot tub, and a steam room, and while there's no fitness center, there is a health club in Mykonos Town that's open to the public. The De.Light also offers a public computer, free welcome drink, wedding services, baggage assistance, butler service, and free parking. The staff can help arrange restaurant reservations, tours, excursions, sailing trips, and car and ATV rentals. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
