Bottom Line

Designed for the business traveler, the 595-room Hyatt Regency Montreal has a great downtown location, and both the business center and fitness center are open around-the-clock. Pricey fees for Wi-Fi, parking, and meals are downsides, but perks include the indoor pool, large terrace, and underground access to lots of sites and attractions. Some guests find the second-floor lobby difficult to find, but its sleek, trendy feel -- which carries over into contemporary rooms -- gives this hotel its edge.

Rooms

Spacious rooms are up-to-date, with bland decor

With a brown-on-brown color scheme and nondescript furniture, the rooms here don't feel quite as upscale as what one may expect in a four-pearl property. However, they are spacious and up-to-date with amenities such as flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi (although it costs an additional fee).

Features

Features here -- an indoor pool, small spa, several dining options -- are plentiful.

This downtown hotel is packed with amenities. The spa is small, but with a massage room and a sauna, it is more than what many four-pearl hotels in the area offer, and the Hyatt Regency also has a modern fitness center stocked with cardio and weight-training machines. The indoor pool is massive, and there's also meeting rooms, a business center, and several dining options.
