Park Hyatt Milan lives up to the high standards of the Park Hyatt hotel brand with a typical Italian architectural facade. The interiors are elegant, understated, and classic. Guests enter in to a large open lobby with the central Cupola Lobby Lounge featuring a large glass-domed ceiling. The lobby lounge includes a mix of cushioned benches and low-back cushioned chairs with small round coffee tables. Pink and purple orchids and contemporary artwork are found throughout the hotel -- including the lobby, rooms, hallways, and restaurants. The Michelin-star VUN Andrea Aprea Restaurant is a sophisticated affair, with low-back chairs, white table-clothed tables, beige curtains, and soft lighting. Mio features a slightly hipper atmosphere, with a few yellow chairs and cushions brightening up the room. Guests are mostly high-end travelers, including business travelers in the fashion industry and tourists interested in shopping and sightseeing.

Set in the heart of Milan's fashion district, Park Hyatt Milan enjoys one of the most central locations in the city. The hotel is directly opposite the entrance to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, the world's oldest shopping mall. There are also numerous restaurants, bars, and other boutique shops within close walking distance. It's a three-minute walk to the Duomo di Milano (Milan Cathedral), two-minute walk to Teatro alla Scala (an opera house), five-minute walk to Piazza del Duomo, and a 14-minute walk to Sforzesco Castle. The 106 rooms at Park Hyatt Milan are spacious and decorated with classic interiors that include beige carpets, stone-washed walls, wooden window shutters, a lounge area with a sofa, crisp white linens, and long mirrors on the walls. Potted pink orchids bring an understated elegance to the rooms. The suites are extremely spacious, with separate lounge and dining areas and private terraces with views of the city's skyline as well as the Milan Cathedral. The Presidential Suite features a dining table for 10 guests and a kitchenette. Amenities in all rooms include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, minibars, tea- and- coffee-making facilities, desks, telephones, safes, ironing boards, and free Wi-Fi. Gorgeous bathrooms include large walk-in showers, adjacent soaking tubs, hairdryers, magnifying mirrors, and Italian toiletries. Bathrobes and slippers are provided.

There are many luxury features available at the Park Hyatt Milan, and a swimming pool is the most noticeably lacking feature. The hotel offers an extensive buffet breakfast each morning, though this is not included in all room rates. There are four dining and drink areas in the hotel, including the Michelin-star restaurant, VUN Andrea Aprea, serving gourmet Italian cuisine. Mio is open for all-day dining and cocktails, specializing in gourmet sandwiches. Dehors is the hotel's outdoor lounge. Cupola Lobby Lounge offers a cozy and relaxing indoor space. All of the venues are chic and smart, and attract a good looking crowd.
