11-minute walk to Metro station and area can be shady at night
Decor is a bit dated and chain-like in some areas
The 110-room BEST WESTERN Hotel Milton Milano is a mid-range chain hotel located outside of the city center. Some guests find the area intimidating at night and recommend taking cars (the nearest Metro station is an 11-minute walk away). An impressive breakfast buffet is served in a modern space with all-white furniture, and can be included in room rates. Rooms are modern enough with flat-screen TVs, minibars, and electric kettles, though the Classic Rooms feel a touch dated with carpets that could use a refresh. The hotel has a restaurant and charming wine bar on-site. Guests should compare rates with BEST WESTERN Antares Hotel Concorde, another Best Western hotel with a small restaurant and wine bar, as well as a convenient location near a metro station. Wi-Fi throughout is free at both.
Scene
Mid-range chain hotel with a bustling breakfast area
Inside the upscale BEST WESTERN Hotel Milton Milano, brown
and rust-colored chairs offer a spot to sit in the lobby. Tall, potted plants
decorate the space and a corner of rust-colored panels form the attractive front desk.
More plants decorate the breakfast area, including plant centerpieces on all-white
tables. A wide variety of breakfast items are laid out on pretty white dishes on a white table decorated
with fresh flowers. There’s an impressive variety of food, and juicers are available with
fresh fruits for guests to use to make their own juice. The area can become
busy with guests which includes a mix of families, couples, and business travelers.
There’s a small bar at the hotel with funky, clear orange barstools where
guests can enjoy a glass of wine, a cocktail, or a coffee. The style feels fresh and inviting, especially for a chain property.
Location
Outside of the city center, in a somewhat shady area at night
The hotel loses points for its location, outside of the city center and an
11-minute walk away from the nearest Metro station. Many guests find the walk to be
a little shady at night. It’s a 20-minute train ride to Central Station where
guests can easily reach the rest of the city, and the Duomo can be reached in
30 minutes by train. Both Linate and Malpensa airports can be reached in under
a 40-minute drive, and garage parking is available for a fee. Some guests have felt most comfortable by using taxis after dark, rather than walking to and from the Metro.
Rooms
Spacious rooms with minimal decor
Rooms
at BEST WESTERN Hotel Milton Milano are spacious with little decor including white
or taupe walls and big, black-and-white pictures of flowers hanging over the
beds. All rooms have flat-screen TVs. Rooms with minibars and electric kettles are available. Bathrooms have pretty, light blue tiles and
shower/tub combos, but they're small and don't feel particularly modern. Prija bath products, which are made in Italy, are
included in the amenity kits. Some rooms have views of the city’s skyline. Classic Rooms have a few dated touches, including carpets that could use a refresh, while Comfort Business Rooms feel more modern and polished. Wi-Fi is free throughout.
Features
Italian restaurant and wine bar, meeting rooms, and parking for a fee
BEST WESTERN Hotel Milton Milano offers an
impressive breakfast buffet that can be included in room rates (but isn't in all); it offers cold
cuts, cheeses, fresh fruit, prepared dishes, and pastries. The hotel has a
restaurant with an Italian chef, and there’s also a charming wine bar on-site. Three meeting spaces are available, the largest
of which accommodates up to 220 guests. One of the meeting rooms has panoramic views of
the city, and the hotel has an internet corner with one computer. Wi-Fi is free throughout.
