The 44-room Acca Palace offers modern, reasonably priced rooms in a residential part of Milan. It’s close to office buildings and has two meeting rooms, so it’s ideal for business travelers, but not quite as convenient for tourists, as it's a 20-minute trip by metro to the city center. Rooms have stylish decor and small balconies, and units with kitchenettes are available for an extra fee. There's also a garden and free loaner bicycles. It’s a good choice for travelers looking for a new property with reasonable rates, as long as they don't mind being away from the city center.
Scene
Modern hotel with colorful common areas and a small garden area
The Acca Palace is new and modern, with a contemporary green facade and a beautiful, albeit slightly industrial-looking, garden. The bright lobby has boxy wood furniture and paneling and a small bar area with black tables and chairs in clear, colorful plastic. There's also a sunny, colorful breakfast room with a shaded outdoor space filled with modern wicker furniture and surrounded by vine-covered walls.
Location
In a quiet residential neighborhood, 20 minutes by metro to central Milan
The hotel is located in a quiet, up-and-coming residential area that’s seen construction of new condominiums in recent years. There are several offices and a large supermarket nearby. It’s close to the A4 freeway and a few minutes’ walk to the Affori Centro metro station, from which it's a 20-minute trip to the Duomo and a 25-minute trip to Corso Buenos Aires, a popular shopping street. Milan’s Centrale station can be reached in about 15 minutes by metro, while the Malpensa Airport is about an hour via the Malpensa Express train or a 40-minute drive.
Rooms
Spacious rooms with stylish, modern decor and small balconies
The hotel’s 44 rooms are spacious and have simple, modern decor and hardwood floors. Beds have large cushioned headboards. The grey and white color scheme is stylish, and there are pops of color in the orange light fixtures and candy-colored Lucite chairs. All rooms come with small balconies and amenities include flat-screen TVs, minibars, microwaves, and digital safes. Some rooms offered have white lacquer kitchenettes. The electricity and air-conditioning only work when the room key is inserted, so rooms can take a while to cool down. Bathrooms are large and have bright-blue tile and walk-in showers with jets. Long vanities have lots of counter space for toiletries and there are hairdryers and magnifying makeup mirrors.
Features
Free and varied buffet breakfast and free loaner bicycles
A free buffet breakfast is offered every morning and includes plenty of hot dishes, such as eggs and bacon. It's served in a bright breakfast room with access to a covered outdoor patio overlooking the garden. The hotel’s bistro serves an a la carte menu at dinnertime and there’s a small bar off the lobby. Loaner bicycles are available to guests for free and Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. There are also two computers in the lobby with free Internet access, printing, photocopying, and faxing. The hotel has two meeting rooms with modern, minimalist decor that can fit up to 50 people. Garage parking is available for a daily fee.
