Hampton Inn Holland

This Hampton Inn is a step above many others in the chain and has a lot more personality, from the decor to amenities. The main entrance is through a pair of French doors
flanked by electric lanterns. The lobby has a sharp modern look, with classic tendencies, and the sage green, brown, and gray color scheme looks fresh. There are hardwood accents, lending a touch of class, and an attractive seating area next to a handsome gas fireplace topped with a vase of dried flora. The most impressive part of the hotel is the indoor pool
area, which has high ceilings lined with metal rafters. The
restaurant -- Sharkee’s Grill -- is housed in a glass, greenhouse-style area next to the pool. Tables and chairs extend to the pool area and patio, where there is a hot tub, which can get crowded and noisy when visiting youth hockey
teams are staying at the hotel -- they also tend to take over the adjacent game room. Clientele is an even mix of business travelers and families. 

The Hampton Inn sits next to a
Holiday Inn Express and is surrounded by other hotels and large apartment buildings.
There's a Lowe’s Home Improvement Store across the road, and a shopping center
with several brand-name retail stores within a five-minute walk.
Dutch Village lies just beyond the shopping area, and is about a 15-minute walk from the
hotel. It’s a five-minute drive to both Veldheer Tulip Gardens and Edge Ice
Arena. Downtown Holland is a little under 10 minutes away by road and is home to the popular New Holland Brewing Company. It's a 15-minute drive to the Holland State Park Beach, on Lake Michigan. Grand Rapids is a 30-minute drive away, and Gerald R. Ford
International Airport takes 35 minutes to reach from the hotel. 

Like the hotel's common areas, the Hampton Inn Holland's 179 rooms are sharp and modern. Most rooms include a pair of queen beds with plush, comfortable
mattresses and a variety of pillows. Decor comes in dark earth tones, which accent the yellow and gray walls. Furniture, including headboards, night stands, and dressers, have dark wood-veneer finishes, and there are dark gray-and-brown striped carpets on the floors. Black-and-white photos on the walls lend an additional touch of class, as do hooded bedside lamps with a subtle colonial look. Narrow
kitchenettes have attractive granite countertops, dark cupboards, mini-fridges, microwaves, and coffeemakers. All rooms come with flat-screen LCD
TVs, safes, irons and ironing boards, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms have shower/tub combos and generous granite countertops with plenty of room for toiletries. A handful of suites, some of which have separate bedrooms and dining
tables, are available.

The Hampton Inn Holland includes a
beautiful indoor pool and hot tub area. It's a major highlight of the hotel and is quite large, though it can get busy with kids, particularly when ice hockey tournaments are going on in the areas. There is an additional hot tub outdoors. A small fitness center with a handful of modern cardio equipment and a set of free weights stays open around the clock. The hotel's full-service bar and restaurant provides casual pub fare during the day and evening, and a hot breakfast is included in the room rate. A game room is a step up from game rooms at competing hotels, with a pool table, ping-pong, air hockey, and several arcade games -- but like the pool, it's a prime destination when groups of kids are staying at the hotel. The business center is particularly attractive as well. Wi-Fi
is free throughout the property, and there's no charge for outdoor parking.
