This BEST WESTERN isn't the most dated hotel we've seen, but overall it's a generic place to rest for a night. A utilitarian lobby has one couch and a fireplace, and the general vibe is a bit empty and dark, with low ceilings and standard, chain hotel furniture. The front desk is frequently unmanned, and guests must ring a bell or call a phone number for service. While there is nothing fancy here, guests also won't find any nasty surprises -- the property is clean and rooms are spacious. Business

both Saugatuck and Douglas. It's a five-minute drive to Butler Street, where many of Saugatuck's quaint cafes and shops are located. The Saugatuck Dunes State Park is a five-minute drive from the hotel and Oval Beach and Lake Michigan are 10 minutes away by car. Clearbrook Golf Club is just one minute down the road, while it's a three-minute drive to The Red Barn, a local theater. The
Gerald Ford International Airport is 35 miles away, though the Western Michigan Regional Airport is a 12-minute drive from the hotel.

lighting. Higher-category rooms have small tables with chairs and love seats, though upholstery is quite dated. All rooms include 40-inch flat-screen TVs with over a hundred channels, microwaves, mini-fridges, and coffeemakers. Some
King Rooms come with whirlpool tubs. Bathrooms are large and modern, with shower/tub
combos, toiletries, and lots of counter space. Front-facing rooms overlook the
parking lot, while back-facing rooms have views of a quiet wooded area. This hotel has two stories, and guests
should be aware that there are no elevators. Visitors with mobility issues
should request first floor rooms before arrival. Wi-Fi is free, but can be slow.
